My Honest & Unfiltered Review of the Luvme Bone straight unit in plum. (Pros & Cons After 3 Months of use.)

My first impression was how great it looked right out of the box with a very realistic hairline and parting line. It is pre-everything, so you can literally put it on, brush it, and look like you literally just came from a salon.

I’ve washed it 3 times with minimal shedding, and there hasn't been any tangling with washing. The hair is still very soft and has a healthy shine. For maintenance, I deep condition every wash, use a hot comb on medium heat with a tiny swipe of wig wax to flatten any potential excess volume on the top, and always apply a heat protectant with bond builder.

The cap is very soft and breathable, which is crucial for my severe sensory issues. Even the adjustable cap runs very small for my head. However, I can still wear the unit as is. Typically, I perform alterations to downsize the wig so that it's more comfortable for me.

The color did bleed a bit on the first wash, and it can get warm in the summer, but putting it in a low bun or pony helps reduce the heat.
This is my favorite unit so far. It is very luxurious. It also makes me feel human again and pretty. Wearing this unit has increased my confidence, which is invaluable

My Three Month Update on the Bone Straight All Day Comfort Unit 💜

While it accommodates standard and larger sizes, it also works wonderfully for people on the smaller end of the spectrum. Those with small heads can easily get a great fit simply by using the built-in adjustable bands or by tucking the excess fabric neatly under the back band. Because my head is very small (20-inch circumference) and I cannot tolerate extra bulk or fabric due to my sensory needs, I personally chose to customize mine for a completely flush fit. However, that was purely my personal preference—the cap is highly adjustable and designed to fit the vast majority of head sizes beautifully right out of the box. The majority of the photos shared in were before any alterations were made to address the circumference.

Honestly, the color did bleed a bit on the first wash, and it can get warm in the summer, but putting it in a low bun or pony helps reduce the heat.
This is my favorite unit so far. It is very luxurious. It also makes me feel human again and pretty. Wearing this unit has increased my confidence, which is invaluable.

Had to shave my head, but this unit gives me so many different styling options.

Shaving my long, beautiful hair due to chronic illness hair loss and disability was heartbreaking. It’s also a sensory nightmare. I can feel my hair follicles, the air, and temperature changes on my scalp. Being bald is sensorially overwhelming.

As a disabled person struggling with mobility issues, brushing and washing my bio hair became impossible. A comfy, beautiful wig helps with the sensory issues and my confidence. It is really fun changing up my look. Wearing wigs makes me feel human again and pretty. I've found that wigs are a practical and fun solution.

My babies are gone.

My boy was diagnosed with stage 1 CDK in February. I gave him all of the meds and subcutaneous fluids. He did OK for a little while and then tanked. He had already been in pain for a long time because of arthritis and constipation.

Within one week of his diagnosis, his sister started mimicking his symptoms. She stopped drinking water completely from her bowl. She stopped peeing. I would give her a sub Q fluids to induce urination. She survived off of those fluids but hated getting the them, of course. The vet told me that she thought it was FIC.

They both crashed with each other and bounced back at the same time, followed by an even worse crash.

A couple of weekends ago I became very worried that my boy was going to have a seizure. Both of them were sleeping almost all the time. Vocalizing pain. They stopped eating the rx food, Weurva Wx phos focused, and all other options. I started feeding them kibble in the end simply for calories.

They just declined so quickly together. None of the meds helped (other than the fluids). The meds actually seemed to make them feel worse. I tried different formulas. No different.

I wish there was more I could’ve done for them. I would’ve done anything for them. My home is empty and so quiet now. It feels like it’s been six months that they’ve been gone and it’s only been eight days. I asked the vet repeatedly if she really thought that they should go at the same time. I was really grappling with that. She told me that they were both really ready to go and I know that she’s right but can’t stop blaming myself.

I wanted to post here because everybody has been so helpful. And I wanted to make a tribute for them. They had a long and beautiful life. They were almost 18. I’m heartbroken and miss them so much.

I sleep with their favorite toys on the futon. Can’t bring myself to sleep in my bed because that’s where they should be. They were such amazing companions. I love them so much and always will. Thank you to everyone here for helping me take care of my babies. Rest peacefully Momo and Bowie. ♥️🌈♥️

(It’s telling me I need a spoiler thing or my post will be removed. It’s also telling me I need a flare but already have one. I hope this isn’t removed. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.)

Inspirations, suggestions, and tips for wig transformation please.

Hi guys. So this is a frankenwig that a certain company sent me. Due to the construction of the cap is so messed up, they eventually refunded me then told me to keep the unit. So it’s been sitting around for a couple months or so and I finally pulled it out a couple days ago and started messing with it. I cut off at least 4 inches. I added fringe, which needs work. I am attempting to train the fringe right now.

This is actually kind of a fun post for me because I’m wanting to know if you guys have any suggestions for possibly changing the color, or maybe just purple shampoo, the kind of cut, and if anybody has any tips or suggestions based on these photos, I would be happy to hear them. I am open to considering pretty much whatever right now. I was hoping that you guys could give me some inspiration.

For context: the lace is currently lifting and I have 2T pins secured behind my ears, which are adding bulk. I’m in the middle of performing alterations to see if I can make this unit work.

This is human hair. It does feel nice. And this is the first time I’ve ever been able to do a proper ear tuck on a human hair wig so that’s very nice too. Doesn’t smell super great. Smells like some kind of fragrance over a ton of chemicals.

Thanks!!

Managing shaved head and hair loss with a solution that works for me.

I used to have long, beautiful hair. It was like my security blanket. Shaving it all off was completely heartbreaking. But watching it thin and fall out in clumps while dealing with limited mobility left me few options. Daily grooming became too difficult to keep up with due to my disability, leaving me physically drained and exhausted.

Having no hair is a sensory nightmare for me. It leaves me feeling constantly exposed and overstimulated. Anything that helps with my sensory issues and the physical struggle of grooming makes a big difference in my daily life.

I started wearing wigs after I shaved my head, and finding one right for my needs has been a journey. Having a very comfy wig helps me feel human again. It gives me my confidence back without draining my energy.
