After I bought my house I had a year and a half of peace and almost no bugs. However, I have been plagued by ants for over a month. I have been using advion where I can. They appeared suddenly and hit hard. They are in almost every room in my house including upstairs. Its been like whack a mole, if I can eliminate them in one area they pop up somewhere completely different. They seem to have mostly lost interest in the Advion and if I accidentally leave cat food out a bit too long they are all over it. What can I do that's pet safe? I saw some wall stuff but I feel like that above my level. Anything I can do or should I just call a professional at this point?

I recently had hail significantly damage my home and property. I was comparing two companies to try and decide who to go with. One is wanting me to have their public adjuster out. The other company has an appraiser they would want me to use.

I don't feel like the information the guy who is pushing the appraisal process is correct so it's making me lean the other way. I just need a sanity check.

There are several things both have noted have been left off my claim. There is debate on a "metal marring" exclusion on my barn. I do not have a cosmetic exclusion. The insurance company deemed that only the casing of my ac compressor needs to be replaced via their tech, however every other person believes i have significant damage to my coil and it should be replaced.

House was damaged by hail, it seems like repainting might be in the cards. I don't think this place is going to be my permanent home, so bright purple is out.

So what are some good colors? I'd like something that I would like but also wouldn't hurt resell.

It's currently like farmhouse red and white. I don't want the main color to be white or off white.

I didn't know anything when I got my home owner's policy. I just went with the one the insurance agent recommended and I didn't know enough to even ask questions. I now realize that I'm an idiot. I had always assumed all homeowners insurance was replacement value.

I have combed through my policy and I can't find anything indicating what kind of coverage I have. So that scares me that I could have ACV and no idea.

I had a major hailstorm roll through and it tore up my siding (old), windows (old), 1.5 year old roof, 1 year old ac unit (it's currently working but there are several holes in the side going in), 1.5 year old barn sheet metal, other older structures and some water damage in the house by a window with old flooring. And whatever hidden damage I can't see.

I'm supposed to have a contractor with me while the adjuster is here, but I feel way over my head and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do or say to make sure what I get will cover the repairs. The deductible is already going to be a huge hit to my savings.
