Does anyone have internal info on why Crowdstrike offers only hybrid jobs starting from this year ?

I am job hunting for remote opportunities. I was considering Crowdstrike as an employer. However, I saw that it started to offer only hybrid roles. What triggered the remote-cluture change ?

Lowering optical center and increasing pantoscopic angle

In freeform lenses like Zeiss Clearview, does lowering the optical center produce the same effects as increasing the pantoscopic angle ?

Distortions on Zeiss Clearview 1.6

Compared to other stock monofocal lenses ( I also own an Essilor 1.6 Crizal Saphire ), on Zeiss Clearview 1.6 I have distortions on the lower part of the lens. On the sides, I feel better optics compared to monofocal stock lenses.

Previously I got a Zeiss Clearview 1.74 that I am almost not able to wear because of these distortions. In the first hours when I tested the glasses I twisted my ankle twice trying to go downstairs, while I was watching every step. The distortions were that high that I could not aproximate the distances while looking down. The frame was made of metal and I could adjust a bit the pantoscopic angle and this improved the issue.

On my frames with Clearview 1.6 I am unable to adjust the pantoscopic angle because the frames are plastic.
I am mostly bothered when I walk on the street, when I am at home or at my desk I am fine.

Placing the optic center 1mm lower can improve the issue ?

Even though Clearview offers a flatter lens and are a bit thinner, if lens thickness is important, I feel that it is better to go on a higher index on monofocal lenses because of these distortions.

Prescription: -3.75/-0.5R and -3.75/-0.25L

Later edit: Zeiss Clearview whitepaper states :

For optimal performance, the optical center of the lens needs to

be centred on the wearer’s pupil. To this effect, measure the fitting

height to the pupil center according to the horizontal viewing line

and reduce it by 0.5 mm per degree of pantoscopic tilt.

Unhappy with 1.6 Essilor glasses

I got my new pair of glasses that are semirimless Versace VE1304 1433.

My prescription is -3.75 spherical with -0.5 cylinder axis 180. They are 4 mm thick. I ordered them on 1.6 index.

How thinner will the 1.74 index make them ? Will I get more than 1mm ?

The frames fit me nice, I want to see if I can improve the estetics and hide more the diopters.

Short course of flumentol

I took a short course of flumentol 2% for 2 weeks due to a non infectious keratitis. Before, my IOP was around 16-17 for years. After I ended the course my IOP rose to 19. Will it lower back to 16-17 or do the steroid cause permanent damage ?

I am asking akso to understand if I am a steroid responder. I am medium myopic and my grandfather had glaucoma for 35 years until he got blind from it.

Comfortable with undercorrected astimatism in glasses

I feel better with less astigmatism corrected for my glasses prescription.
To see 20/20 without squinting, my prescription would be -3.75 sph and -1 cyl in right and -3.75 and -0.5 cyl in left.

This prescription gives me headaches because I feel that my glasses are too strong.

I asked for -3.75 sph and -0.5 cyl in right and -3.75 and -0.25 cyl in left.

My astigmatism is at 180.

With this prescription I can't distinguish on the chart on the last line the letter G from O for example, but the rest I can see well.

But I don't feel any discomfort in my day to day life and I read letters from adds or car plates from far away.

What's your max hours per day of wearing contacts ? I am talking about extended wear and hight Dk/T ones. I am interested if there are people that are wearing without problems contact lenses daily for 16 hours/day for many years.
