If I see one more post about reserve lists I’m going to cry.

No, none of us on here know how likely you are to be offered a role once on the list.
All the relevant information can be found in the email you received stating you’d been placed on it.
You can literally search ‘reserve list’ in this sub and find hundreds of examples of people all asking the same thing, and being given the same answer.
Common sense really does go a long way.

DMP - du Monde à la Provence soaps - buying from UK?

Hey everyone,
I’m based in the UK but was in Paris recently and bought two soaps from DMP for about €2 each. And I LOVE them.
They smell amazing and scent the whole room.
They do have an online store, the shipping is €15 and I guess I’d have to pay customs on top of that…
Has anyone done this before? Or know of anywhere else that would stock these soaps?
OR, know of a good alternative I can buy in the UK?
So many questions! Thank you.

My collection!

I’ve found my people!
Actually not as many as I thought, but this doesn’t include lipsticks or glosses/oils lol.
I’m based in the UK, but have bought some products from France/Germany
- I swear by the LRP at night time
- Favourite would actually probably be the Primark tint, super cheap and good ingredients
- The Fenty and ELF I found kinda meh - they look quite nice but don’t last super long or very hydrating for me
- I don’t get the hype of the OH - have tried it several times and like it on but don’t find it super hydrating
- I like the UV spf, it looks lovely on but the applicator has split after not very long so I need to depot.
- Hello Sunday looks lovely on and it’s quite hydrating but the formula seems to be splitting
- The Soleil Noir spf stick is TRASH, I need to get rid

Single adult, Lidl & Aldi UK, £27

Did one of these a while ago and people seemed to like it, so here’s my shop from yesterday!
Everything from Lidl except the mince from Aldi.
This will last me about a week, I’ll go out for dinner once at the weekend.
Doesn’t include cupboard staples like butter, marmite, seasonings, curry paste, a tin of tomatoes.
I’m vegetarian (obviously lol)

Hi there, wondered if anyone had any advice regarding which of these apprenticeships have the best career progression, or is the better option.

I’m not hugely fussed about money, but I want to do interesting and varied, rewarding work, and have the ability to move around areas rather than being fixed into one set pathway.

Also thoughts from anyone who has done either scheme would be great!

Stayed in a hotel room for two nights and on the second night (last night) found an adult bb in the bed and a nymph one. Moved rooms but I’d already spent one night in the room, left my clothes on the bed during the day, etc.

I’m nearly home from my holiday now - what to do? I don’t have a steam cleaner or tumble dryer and can’t leave items outside my house. Will it be ok to put everything including backpack into the bath and fill with very hot water, then wash on a hot cycle??

Looking for advice on what people would do in my situation 🙂

I bought a ‘super studio’ flat in summer 2024 for 205k. I’ve since had some personal circumstances change which mean I can afford to upsize - ideally wanting to move to a different city and get a house. My flat is in London, England, ten mins walking distance from a zone 2 tube. 1500 PA service charge that hasn’t increased in two years, 0 ground rent, no cladding, not a new build.

During the two years I’ve lived here I had a new bathroom fitted at 5k, so ideally I’d be wanting to sell my flat for around 215k to cover this and all the fees.

My flat has been up for sale since January and had three viewings with zero offers, and I had an email from rightmove last week saying my property has just been valued by them at 200k - so realistically I think if I sell now I’m going to end up losing a lot, as so many people are at the moment. I think it’s likely if any buyer had a survey done it would be valued around 195-200.

Aware no one can predict the future - but would I be better off selling now, or staying put for a few years and pray it’s worth more then? I’m not desperate to move but it’s something I had decided I was doing, just didn’t expect my flat to have so little interest. It’s also quite stressful having it on the market to be honest.

My job wouldn’t be affected by moving house.

Thanks.
