Non profit event!

Every year I volunteer at the AFSP out of the darkness walk. In the past, we have taken donations for a pet costume contest entry to raise funds for the AFSP. This year, we want to do something different to hopefully bring in more donations. I considered a bake sale with homemade baked goods, but I won’t get the license from the state Department of health in time. I need something that is easy to plan, and will still interest people.

It takes place in September. It can be fall related or anything of the sorts, but I am out of ideas. I’m overwhelmed trying to think of something lol. It’s a small town so participation is usually fairly good but minimal compared to larger cities.

There are already silent auctions, shirt sales, and this year there is a raffle for a Harley motorcycle that someone donated. I am close friends with the walk coordinator, so I am hoping to help her raise as much as possible.

Car Repair Cost — 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT

I have trusted this body shop for all the jobs I’ve ever needed done, and any time I’ve taken it and needed nothing, they have not even charged for an inspection or if it’s something small, they never charge me.

I know nothing about cars, so of course I approved all this work to be done as I know I need it. However, my question is: does this repair cost seem fair? I’m sure it is, but I’d love other opinions :)

I won 500k points in the summer giveaway!

I randomly entered one day about a month ago and was notified Thursday of last week. I found the notification of my win in junk mail as I totally forgot about it with all the craziness at work.

Here is my dilemma: my wife and I have two kids, who we’re already taking on a small family beach trip in September. We’re debating on whether we want do to Disney next summer before my oldest starts kindergarten with these points covering a stay, OR celebrate our 10 year anniversary in Hawaii. We weren’t going to do anything big to celebrate, but it almost feels like we should now. 😅

I’m also very open to recommendations as I am not well travelled. I live in Indiana and have been to all the basic Midwest states, Myrtle beach, a couple Florida beaches, New York, Chicago and Utah (although this was a work trip).

It’s time

I’m officially down to just pumping for comfort at this point.

I’ve been an under supplier from the very beginning. Highest was 17-18 oz per day. After getting my first pp period, and getting sick 3x back to back, my supply just couldn’t recover. It went down to 12-14oz, closer to the 12oz range and even adding 2 power pumps per day, and pumping 6x in between those power pumps, nothing helped. It became too mentally taxing just waiting to see what my total daily output was.

I tried to conceive for 16 months before getting pregnant, spent 9 months pregnant and made it 5 and a half months exclusively pumping & supplementing formula. I gave it my all for the last 30 months of my life and I think it’s time to get my body back and just be there for my boys. I think it will allow me to be more present and find myself again. For those who make it for any amount of time, exclusively pumping, is seriously a superhero in my book.

This community is so beautiful and helpful. Cheers to you all🩷

Maybe hanging up the pumps

I am thinking my body is telling me it’s time to quit.
Baby will be 5 months Sunday.

I am diagnosed with IGT & started out at 7oz per day. My highest day so far has been 18.4oz. I got a stomach bug about 1.5 months ago. My supply took a hit from that and went down to 15oz. Yesterday, I only made 13oz. I’m pumping 8x a day, eating my weight in calories, eating lots of protein, taking supplements, changing out pump parts. Everything.

I cannot increase my supply again. It’s like my body is really trying to tell me it’s time.

I feel SO guilty and cannot stop crying just thinking about it. I have given this my all and I’ve never been able to provide him with a full days worth of calories. It’s all I ever wanted. The hundreds of bags from insurance and the deep freeze I bought in preparation taunt me. How do I get past this guilt?

4 month old with heterochromia

My LO has one eye that’s half brown. It’s been this way noticeably since he was about 5 weeks old. He just hit 4 months. I am so curious if it will stay this way or if it will change.

Smartphone photography

I intend on submitting a couple pictures I took to my local state fairs competition in August. I have until July to enter them, but I want to make some edits; however, I’m not sure where to begin on either of them! Any advice appreciated.
