BenQ Screenbar Halo 2 on top of the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW 40"

Hi community.

I currently have a BenQ Screenbar Halo 2 on top of a Dell 27" Ultrasharp. I love the light bar and would never be without one again. I am looking at upgrading the monitor to the Dell UltraSharp U4025QW 40" which as you all know has a slight curve. I am wondering if anyone is using this combination atm, and can speak to any issues with light bleed from the light bar onto the curved screen. I know there are light bars made for curved screens, but I dont think they are as good as the Halo 2.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Australian HR Consultancy Hiring Part-Time Remote HR/Admin Assistant, Philippines Based Preferred

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to hire a part-time remote assistant to support me with administrative and HR-related tasks for a small HR consultancy.

I’m ideally looking for someone based in the Philippines who has strong written and spoken English, a background in HR/admin, and a relevant degree or qualification in HR, business, psychology, management, or a related field.

The work would likely include things such as:

  • Preparing and formatting documents, reports, templates and client materials
  • Online research related to HR, employment practices, policies and business topics
  • Drafting or editing HR/admin documents
  • Organising information, files and notess
  • Supporting general business administration as the consultancy grows

This would suit someone who is organised, reliable, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently. Prior experience in HR, recruitment, consulting support, executive assistance or business administration would be highly regarded.

A few things I’m looking for:

  • Excellent English communication skills
  • HR/admin experience or a genuine HR background
  • Relevant degree or qualification
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work remotely and communicate professionally online
  • Willingness to start relatively soon if it is a good fit

This would initially be part-time/flexible, with the possibility of more regular work over time depending on fit and workload.

Please send me a DM with:

  1. A short introduction
  2. Your HR/admin experience
  3. Your education/qualifications
  4. Your hourly rate or expected monthly rate
  5. Your availability
  6. Any examples of work you are comfortable sharing, such as writing, formatting, research, admin or HR-related documents

Thanks — I’ll review responses and organise online interviews with shortlisted people as soon as possible.

Stream Deck for professional office use, not streaming — which model should I buy?

Hi all,

I’m looking for some advice on which Stream Deck to purchase and whether it would be genuinely useful for my situation.

I don’t stream, game, or create content. I’m a white-collar professional and my main work laptop is a Windows PC. I spend a lot of time in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office, browser-based systems, and general admin/workflow tasks. Work has confirmed they are happy to install the Stream Deck software for me, so software access on the work laptop is not an issue.

My personal laptop is a MacBook Pro, which I also occasionally use for work. Outside of work, I dabble a little in photo editing and editing images of art, but nothing too serious or professional.

The main things I’m thinking a Stream Deck could help with are:

  • Microsoft Teams actions such as mute/unmute, camera on/off, leave meeting, opening Teams chats or meetings
  • Launching commonly used work apps, websites, folders, or templates
  • Automating repetitive admin tasks
  • Controlling audio/mic settings
  • Potentially improving workflow between my Windows work laptop and MacBook Pro
  • Some light creative use for photo/image editing

Budget is not really a concern, but desk aesthetics are very important to me. I want something that looks clean and professional on a desk, not too “gamer” or content-creator focused.

For someone in my situation, would you recommend the Stream Deck Mini, MK.2, XL, Neo, or Stream Deck +? Are there any models that are overkill for professional/non-streaming use?

I’d also be interested in hearing how other non-streamers use their Stream Decks in office/professional workflows. What are the use cases you didn’t expect to be helpful until you had one?

Thanks in advance.
