This place has become so quiet. Some got their visas and left and some missed their last enrollment and left. It’s kinda depressing witnessing it all and still having hope for your visa to be approved.

The uncertainty is somehow keeping me hopeful.

Funny how the uncertainty of my future in the UK, the complete silence from UKVI, no emails, no interviews, and no delay notification is somehow keeping me hopeful. Since nothing is decided yet, my brain keeps telling me, “Maybe it’s good news.”

It’s still been a really emotionally exhausting and traumatic experience, especially after what I went through with my US visa for almost 12 months. I’m praying and hoping I get my visa this week, especially with classes starting this Monday.

Seeing my cohort already sending pictures and making plans for outings has honestly been heartbreaking, knowing I’m supposed to be there with them. But I’m trying to stay positive and hope for the best.

At this point, this subreddit has basically become my morning newspaper. The first thing I do is check my emails, then come here to see the latest updates and news from everyone else.

I genuinely hope every single person waiting here eventually gets the visa they’re hoping for. ❤️

Phaedra is overrated.

Phaedra was and STILL is overrated. I never understood the hype. Her entire RHOA personality was a neck twist, a scrunched-up face, “oh lawd Jesus,” and a rehearsed read she clearly practiced in the mirror. She avoided real conversations about herself while making everyone else her target.
And the hypocrisy with Kenya was INSANE. Phaedra spent years calling Kenya a whore, attacking her for how she dressed and acting like she was the guardian of morality. Now she’s damn near 60 trying to serve Jezebel, showing her coochie and dressing like the exact woman she used to shame. Girl, pick a moral code.
And let’s be VERY clear about the Apollo situation. Kenya did not ruin that marriage. Apollo was a criminal who Phaedra pursued, married and ultimately had children with. The man found Kenya attractive and Phaedra was clearly bothered by it. Instead of dealing with her own marital problems, she made Kenya the villain.
Then there’s Kandi. That is where the “sweet Southern Christian woman” act completely fell apart. Kandi supported Phaedra, defended her and was genuinely her friend, yet Phaedra participated in spreading THAT disgusting lie about Kandi and Todd. You don’t get to cry about friendship while helping destroy your friend’s reputation.
And Phaedra’s favorite trick was always playing dumb after saying something absolutely vile. She’d deliver the nastiest accusation imaginable, blink twice, tilt her head and suddenly she was just an innocent little church lady who had no idea why everyone was mad. PLEASE.
She wasn’t misunderstood. She was calculated.
People also confuse having a few iconic reads with being a great Housewife. Phaedra had some funny lines. Congratulations. That doesn’t erase the hypocrisy, the lies, the manipulation or the way she treated other women.
The funniest part is watching her now embrace the hypersexual image she spent YEARS weaponizing against Kenya. So all that morality was just a costume?
Phaedra didn’t hate Kenya because Kenya was a “whore.” She hated Kenya because Kenya got under her skin. And honestly, Kenya barely had to do anything.
Phaedra was never the moral authority she pretended to be. She was a mean girl in a church-lady costume with good confessionals. That’s it.

Probability of visa approval

Today marks the 10th working day since my biometrics. I read somewhere if i havent been asked for further documents or asked for interview, there’s a high chance im getting my visa approved. What do yall think?

For reference, I’m doing a program that’s part of the Erasmus Mundus program (self-funded)

UK Student visa funds after the 28-day period

I’m applying for a UK Student visa and have held the required maintenance funds in my bank account for the full 28 consecutive days.

After completing the 28 days, can I use part of the money to pay the IHS and visa application fee before submitting my application?
I’ll have bank evidence showing the full required balance during the qualifying 28-day period. Does UKVI care if the balance drops afterward because I used the money to pay the IHS/visa fee?

Would appreciate answers from anyone who has dealt with this or knows the UKVI rules.

STUDENT VISA WORRIES

Hi everyone,

I’m getting ready to apply for my UK Student visa in a couple of weeks and have a couple of questions about the financial requirements.

FYI i have been accepted into one of Erasmus Mundus scholarships programs (EPH+) but im self funded.

  1. Since my uncle is sponsoring me, do I need to include evidence of the source of the funds when I submit my bank statement, or should I only provide that if UKVI requests it later?

  2. If UKVI does ask for proof of the source of the funds, what documents would my uncle typically need to provide?

And lastly, Looking back, is there anything you wish you had included with your application that would have made the process smoother?

Should I be worried or my chances are higher because of the Scholarship program 😭

I’d appreciate any advice from people who have been through this process. Thanks!
