I need know our options

Long story short- once the pandemic happened, our household own about 47k back up rent but we did get rent assistance which took off about 20k off the debt but even after the debt slowly increased more and more because my mom was the only paying rent and couldn’t really keep up. Also didn’t help the rent increase after the pandemic.

Now we have been letters about how much we owe and that we have to paid it back unless we want to get evicted. My mom and second older sister had already went to office to talk about the rent and debt and resigning the lease.

We weren’t able to lower the rent but they did say if we started paying rent and some of the debt that we don’t have to worried about it. This wasn’t written contract but verbal communication to us.

Even tho just last month we paid the rent and some of debt ($600) we are still getting the letters which is stressing me out so much because they still can kick us out if they want to.

I was talking to my sister and telling her she should go to the office and ask for written contract (repayment agreement) which she told me there is no need because they said we started paying rent and some of the debt that we don’t have to worried about it.

I don’t know what to do? Maybe try to get rent assistance. my mom would have to do it bcz she is household head but she just procrastinate calling

Make up hours

Are we able to makeup hours this year? Because I ask my supervisor if I can make up some of the hours I was missing and he told me no because we only allowed to do 25 hours per week.

Also I have done Syep before and I know we can make up hours only if ur supervisor allows it and u would email ur worksite monitor to inform them.

Is it different this year?

This is what I got from Syep

This is for the people who can’t see the screenshots

Hours Entry Reminder:
Participants are approved to work up to 25 hours per week at their assigned worksite. The SYEP portal opens every Wednesday for hours entry. Participants are responsible for entering all hours worked each week in the SYEP system. Hours must be entered in full by Saturday each week.

Worksite supervisors are responsible for reviewing and approving submitted hours by Sunday at the latest.

Missing or late hours entry may result in late payment, so please make sure to set weekly reminders to enter your hours on time.

Please make sure hours are entered accurately and only reflect the time actually worked at your assigned worksite. Participants should not enter hours for days they did not work, hours outside of their approved schedule, or more than the weekly limit allowed by SYEP.

I want to reapply

I want to reapply but I am being told I only have 8 months to complete a trade which I don’t have enough confidence I would finish it.

I was also told when I resigned it depends on how long you are there like for example u stay there for 1 month then quit u will have 1 year with 11 months.

My worksite still haven’t responded to my email

So basically I emailed them and didn’t hear back but when I was signing my work referral on Syep website it’s said to be there at 10:00am. Should I just called and figure it out or no?
