URGENT: 1 DAY LEFT. MY ILLNESS HAS TAKEN SO MUCH FROM US, AND I’M TRYING TO KEEP MY SON HOUSED.

Tomorrow is moving day. After everything my son and I have been through over the past year, I’m now down to one day to figure out our next place to stay.
I’ve raised $1,005 of my initial $1,400 goal, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get this far. That leaves $395 between us and the minimum amount I was hoping to have before we move.

The reason the full amount matters is that I’m trying to pay for a weekly-rate rental for an entire month upfront. If I can’t reach that amount, I’ll have to pay week-to-week, which is more expensive and could make it much harder to keep us housed.

For anyone seeing my story for the first time, I’ve been dealing with serious medical problems since August 2025. I became severely ill with complicated diverticulitis, developed sepsis, went through multiple infections and surgeries, and eventually had a colon resection and colostomy. During that time, I lost my job, apartment, and car while I was hospitalized and trying to survive.

I eventually made it home around April and started rebuilding. Despite everything, I wrote three books, started a fourth, and built EskoDSK AI, including a working MVP and a real-world implementation. I was finally starting to build a path toward supporting myself again.

Then on August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of extensive scar tissue, the surgery was complicated and required a larger incision. I later developed another infection and ended up back in the hospital.

I’m home now, but I’m still recovering and receiving daily wound care and medical treatment. I also applied for SSI because my health has made it extremely difficult to work normally, but I was denied and am still dealing with the appeal.
At the same time, I’m trying to do everything I can myself. I’m packing our belongings, looking for temporary housing, checking emergency resources, contacting assistance programs, trying to stay close to my son’s school bus route, and now I’ve started selling some of our belongings to try to close the remaining gap.
I’m not sitting around waiting for donations. I’m doing everything I can to contribute to getting us through this.

But my health limits how quickly I can earn money, and tomorrow I have to move.
My immediate goal is still $1,400, which is only meant to give my son and me one month of stable temporary housing while I continue recovering, attending my wound-care appointments, pursuing my SSI appeal, and working toward a longer-term solution.

We’re $395 away from that initial goal.

If you can help with even a few dollars today, it could make a real difference. If you can’t donate, please share this post or the fundraiser. At this point, getting it in front of the right person could make all the difference.

I’ve spent the past year fighting to survive, losing almost everything, and trying to rebuild my life. I’m asking for help making sure that after everything my son and I have already been through, we have somewhere safe to go tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, offered resources, bought something from us, or simply taken the time to care. We are $395 away from the initial goal, and I’m fighting to close that gap today.

URGENT: Help Us Stay Housed After a Year of Illness, Surgeries and Losing Everything

There are only 2 days left before my son and I have to leave where we’re currently staying, and I’m running out of options.

For anyone seeing this for the first time, my situation started in August 2025, shortly after my son’s birthday. I became severely ill with complicated diverticulitis, developed sepsis, and went through multiple infections, surgeries, and hospitalizations. Eventually, I had a colon resection and was left with a colostomy.

While I was fighting to survive and spending months in hospitals and medical facilities, I lost my job, apartment, and car. My entire life was turned upside down while I was trying to recover.

I eventually made it back home around April 2026 and started rebuilding. Despite everything, I completed three books, started a fourth, and built EskoDSK AI, including a working MVP and a real-world implementation with a medical courier company. I’m now trying to recruit an early developer/technical partner to help take it further.
Then on August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of extensive scar tissue, the surgery was more complicated and required a larger incision. I later developed another infection at the surgical site and ended up back in the hospital.

I’m home again, but I’m still recovering and receiving daily wound care and medical treatment. I also applied for SSI because my health has made it extremely difficult to work normally, but I was denied and am still dealing with the appeal.
Now I’m facing another immediate crisis.
The place where my son and I are staying is receiving a 7-day eviction notice. We have only 2 days left to figure out where we’re going.
I’m already packing our belongings, looking at weekly-rate rentals, contacting emergency housing resources, checking assistance programs, and trying every option I can find. I’m also specifically looking for somewhere close enough to my son’s school bus route so this situation doesn’t completely disrupt his education.

I’m doing everything I can on my own, but my health limits how quickly I can earn money. I’m still recovering from surgery and an infection and receiving daily wound care. I can’t simply pick up quick work and make enough money in two days.
My most immediate goal is $1,400, which would put my son and me into a weekly-rate rental for at least one month. That would give us somewhere stable to stay while I continue medical care, recover, work toward income, pursue my SSI appeal, and find a longer-term solution.

I’m not asking anyone to fix my entire life. I’m asking for help getting through this immediate crisis.

If you can donate, even a small amount helps. If you can’t, please share this post or the fundraiser. A share could reach someone who can help or someone who knows of a resource I haven’t found.
I’ve lost a lot over the past year, but I’m still fighting to rebuild. I just don’t want my son and me to lose our place to live too.

URGENT UPDATE: I HAVE 6 DAYS LEFT TO FIGURE OUT HOUSING FOR MY SON AND ME

For anyone seeing my story for the first time, I want to give some context because I know you shouldn’t have to go searching through an old post to understand what is happening.

In August 2025, shortly after my son’s birthday, I became seriously ill with complicated diverticulitis. I developed sepsis, went through multiple infections and unsuccessful surgeries, and eventually had a colon resection and was left with a colostomy.

What was supposed to be a medical crisis turned into more than a year of hospitals, surgeries, complications, recovery, and trying to rebuild a life that had completely fallen apart. During that time, I lost my job, apartment, and car.

I eventually made it back home around April 2026 and started trying to rebuild. I wrote three books and started a fourth. I also built an AI startup called EskoDSK AI, including a working MVP and a real-world implementation with a medical courier business. I was finally starting to see a possible path forward.

Then on August 31, 2026, I underwent my colostomy reversal. Because of the scar tissue from everything I had already been through, the surgery was more complicated than expected and required a larger incision. I later developed another infection at the surgical site and ended up back in the hospital.

I’m finally back home, but I’m still recovering, and now I’m facing another crisis that I can’t simply work my way out of quickly.

The place where my son and I are currently staying is receiving a 7-day eviction notice. I now have 6 days left to figure out what we’re going to do.

Because of my health, I can’t just go out and pick up temporary labor or a bunch of quick shifts to make enough money before the deadline. I’m still recovering from everything my body has been through, and I’m using every available resource I can find to try to keep us from becoming homeless.

My immediate plan is to get my son and me into a weekly-rate hotel or other temporary housing for at least a month while I continue recovering and work on a more permanent solution.

The good news is that people have already helped us get to about 40% of the immediate amount we need. I am incredibly grateful for that. Every donation and every share has helped buy us more time.

But we’re still facing that 6-day deadline.
I know this is a lot to ask from strangers. I’ve spent the past year watching my life disappear piece by piece, and I’ve tried to rebuild instead of giving up. I’m still working on my business. I’m still looking for ways to earn an income. I’m still pursuing every assistance program available to me.

Right now, though, my priority is making sure my son and I have somewhere safe to sleep.
If you can donate, even a small amount can help. If you can’t donate, sharing this post or the GoFundMe could potentially reach someone who can.

I’m exhausted, scared, and honestly feeling like I’m drowning right now. But I’ve made it through a lot over the past year, and I’m still fighting to get us through this too.

Thank you to everyone who has already helped us get this far. I truly mean that.

Last August Started the Hardest Year of My Life. After Losing My Job, Home & Car, I’m Now Back in the Hospital

Last August, shortly after my son’s birthday, my life changed completely.

What started as complicated diverticulitis turned into sepsis, multiple infections and several surgeries. Eventually, doctors had to remove part of my colon and give me a colostomy.

I spent months going between hospitals and recovery facilities. I didn’t finally make it home until April.

During those months, I lost my job, my apartment and my car. I was also denied SSI after dealing with this medical situation for more than a year, and I’m currently appealing that decision.

But I didn’t stop trying to rebuild.

While recovering, I wrote three books and started a fourth. I taught myself how to use AI to build websites and applications. That eventually led me to create EskoDSK AI, an AI platform I’m building for small businesses.

I went from learning this technology during my recovery to actually building a working MVP for a real business.

I thought my colostomy reversal on August 31 would finally be the beginning of getting my life back.
It didn’t go the way I expected.

Because of the scar tissue from my previous surgeries, the reversal was much more complicated than anticipated. My recovery became longer and harder, and now I’m back in the hospital because the surgical site became infected.

So here I am, more than a year after this started, still dealing with the consequences.

I’m still trying to recover.

I’m still trying to figure out stable housing for my son and me.

I’m still fighting my disability appeal.

And I’m still trying to build something that can eventually allow me to support us without needing help from anyone.

That’s why I’m asking for help now.

This isn’t me asking people to invest in an idea.
I’m not sitting around waiting for someone to fix my life. I’ve been actively trying to rebuild it throughout this entire ordeal.

I just need enough help to get through this part of the journey.

If you can donate, even a small amount can help with the immediate expenses that come with trying to recover while having no job, no apartment and no vehicle.

If you can’t donate, please share this instead. A share could put this story in front of someone who can help.

My son and I have been through a lot since last August. I’m doing everything I can to make sure what happened to us isn’t where our story ends.

Would this SaaS actually work in the current small business market?

I’m a solo founder building EskoDSK, and I’m looking for some honest feedback before I take it much further.

The basic idea is a Digital Employee built into a business’s actual workflow, not just another AI chatbot or generic “AI employee.”

I’ve already built a working MVP and currently have a real paying customer/business using it: a medical courier company, DasherLab.

The current system includes:
Customer portal
Business/owner dashboard
AI Digital Employee
Customer authentication
Guided workflows
Pickup requests
Quote requests
Request/status tracking
Dispatch/contact functionality
Business-specific knowledge and instructions
Service storefront
Payments

The part I think makes EskoDSK different is where I want to take it.

Instead of selling every business the same AI assistant, I want to make the platform capable of deploying a custom Digital Employee around each business’s actual operations.

A courier company could have one built around pickups and dispatch.

A property manager could have one built around tenant requests.

A contractor could have one built around estimates and scheduling.

The long-term vision is essentially giving small businesses digital employees that can handle real parts of their workflow, while humans step in when they’re actually needed.

I know there are already a lot of companies using the “AI employee” pitch, so that’s exactly what I’m trying to validate.

If you were rating this idea purely as a SaaS business:

  1. What would you rate it from 1-10?
  2. Does this sound meaningfully different from existing AI employee/agent products?
  3. Would a small business actually pay for this?
  4. What would make you NOT buy it?
  5. If you were me, would you keep building it, narrow it to one industry, or change the direction?

I’m not looking for “sounds cool” feedback. I want people to tell me where they think this falls apart.
And if you think it actually has potential, I’d like to know why.

Best places at UNLV to find students interested in startups?

I’m looking for a little advice from anyone familiar with UNLV.

I’m building an early-stage tech startup focused on helping small businesses, and over the next several months I’ll be looking to connect with students who are interested in being founding partners, starting with software developers and eventually expanding into other areas like AI, design, marketing, and business.

I’m not trying to recruit here or advertise the project. I’m just trying to figure out where the best place would be to meet people who are interested in startups and building something from the ground up.

Are there any clubs, organizations, Discord servers, networking events, entrepreneurship programs, or departments that would be worth reaching out to?
I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!
