Latest fixation, my pencils are all stubs now 😭😭😭😭😭😭

These past two weeks istg I’ve been practicing portraits like no tomorrow

It’s honestly rare for me to ever find the motivation to do more than one of something so I just wanted to share my progress before I move on from portraiture :)

I swear I keep doing one of these every day , but practice makes perfect!!

Okay so I’ve mentioned in this thread before that I’m practicing people more often since I never really used to ,but figured I had some spare time so why not?

This is the one I finished today and as always advice is welcomed and MASSIVELY appreciated

PS someone asked me on another post why post my art here as I don’t seem like a beginner, and that’s true I have drawn before but never a person and I’m using my skill I have for animals and trying to apply it to human proportions so I’m completely new to human portraiture !! Hope that clears some things up :)

New Person Portrait!! What do you think ?

I have taken quite a liking to practicing human proportions , expressions and overall face recently when I never used to

I think as of now this is the fourth human portrait I have ever done but I think I’ll be practicing a lot more now ( cause you can always improve :3 )

In one of my other posts I mentioned not really taking the time to practice proportions properly on people, but I want to broaden my skill set as I usually only do pet portraits so this is good for me

As always advice is welcomed and greatly appreciated !! Thank you

PS: I do try for realism but I do have a slightly more stylised way of drawing so it’s not exact to my reference yet sadly :(

Took 3 and a bit hours!! Excluding hair cuz I lost motivation by then so I jst shaded it 😭😭😬

Just got a new haircut, what are your tips for keeping layers styled throughout the day?

I’ve been wondering what everyone else uses to style layers , or what you would recommend!!

How do ya’ll shade/ create depth with acrylic? I NEED HELP!

Okay so I was looking through my art gallery in photos and came across THIS pumpkin , I did this a while ago -probably near last Halloween, so I think I’ve improved since then and was considering redrawing+repainting another piece based off of this ( as this was for a school project and I couldn’t keep it sadly ) BUT I need some advice on how to up my shading game as it looks a bit flat in my opinion

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I’m excited to hear your thoughts!!

PS - this was halfway finished but I can’t seem to find the finished product so this is all I have :( hope that’s okay !!

Second attempt at practicing expressions/ people, advice NEEDED!!

I rarely ever draw people but I thought why not give it another try since I haven’t done it in a while.

I think this is the third time I’ve drawn a person as I usually draw animals instead, so I don’t necessarily practice much and was looking for some advice/ tips on how to improve my facial expressions for future projects!!

I’m currently 14-15 and people say I have skill for my age, but I believe there’s always room to improve so anything would be greatly appreciated :)

This took probably around 2 hours ish ( including some short breaks ) , but frankly I kinda lost motivation by the time shading the hair came around so it doesn’t really have much depth but I’m okay with that

Again any tips would be a massive help, but honestly not to bad for my third portrait I think!!
