my gf broke up with me because i'm interning at a company designing AI hardware??

My gf is an arts student and she's really anti-ai, like she literally goes on rants on her twitter at anybody who even is neutral over ai. Very luddite like behaviour. Anyways, I got an internship at a comapny that designs chips for ai. When I told her what the internship was about, she started freaking out and cursing me out for contributing to the destruction of humanity or something. And she broke up with me. Atp i was just really pissed and the next day, i fed some of her art into chatgpt and told it to make it better and sent her a meessage asking her if it looked better. she just instantly blocked me. I dont even get why, it legitimately looked so much better.

am i cooked?

Going into 3rd year of my EE degree, expecting 67%/ ~3.5 gpa for my 2nd year. I really want to get any sort of chip design/FPGA internship anywhere for my 3rd year summer.

But my projects I'm doing are quite strong: I'm building a Rv32im soc which I'm planning to run DOOM on + an ethernet UDP/itch packet parser.

I also have a family friend in the chip design industry that could maybe help me out though I'm not banking on it.

Don't have any prior internships.

Am I cooked in this market? I'm in UK btw
