Legal (and Safe) to Pick Berries Along Liberty Park Trail?

Legal (and Safe) to Pick Berries Along Liberty Park Trail?

Quite a few of the blackberries(?) along the walking trail are ripe, and the animals aren’t eating them, as I’d expected. In my relative’s state, you need a permit to pick berries on public land, but cursory Googling didn’t produce anything like that locally. Anyone know, or do you pick and eat them yourself?

New Pink Grapefruit & Strawberry Lemon Supergreens vs. Daily Greens

I bought the new daily greens - excuse me, the new flavors are labeled "Supergreens" - and compared them with a can of Peach Hibiscus daily greens. I drank all three from open cups, for maximal exposure to odor. I tried them first at room temperature and then chilled with ice. In case you're wondering, both daily and super greens are carbonated. Also, they both have a slight film on the surface of the beverage.

The new flavors were less green in color, and the distinctive "greens" odor is less prominent as well - or perhaps is more easily reinterpreted when labeled as a straightforward citrus flavor instead of a herby hybrid, like the original flavors. Speaking of flavor, I also think the "greens" taste was more muted, especially when chilled. I'd compare it's flavor level to that of the chemical aftertaste in Diet Mountain Dew. The Grapefruit and Strawberry odors/flavors were distinct and recognizable, with Strawberry Lemon being sweeter with a citrus/greens aftertaste and Grapefruit being citrus-forward.

As someone who just doesn't like "greens" flavor, it's still too prominent to in the new greens drinks to make them the caffeine-free alternative to the Energy+ drinks I was low-key hoping they'd be, but I think people who do like "greens" taste may enjoy having more recognizable varieties, and people who drink greens for health benefits may also find these more palatable than the herb & veggie flavors of the original drinks, especially when drinking chilled from the can.

Nutrition Label Grammar: What Does "of which saturates" Mean?

Hello, EU and UK residents. I am doing a project with Nutrition Labels for foods sold in EU and UK online stores, and I'm confused by the "of which satures" and of "of which sugars" subcategories for Fat and Carbohydrates. I understand what they signify, but the grammar confuses me. "Of which" usually introduces the protagonist of a secondary modfying sentence, like "The apples, of which I'd purchased an entire bag, were rotten;" but "of which saturates" just stops, making me think words were omitted for brevity. What is the full sentence meant to be? Is it like:

  • "These are the fats which are polyunsaturates?"
  • "These are the fats which polyunsaturate?"
  • The Fats of Which There Are [this many] Polyunsaturates?

Thanks for your help. It's silly, but I've been working with the labels for a few weeks, and I haven't been able to figure it out. X-D

Follow Your Heart is Excellent Everyday Vegan Cheese.

I recently noticed Follow Your Heart vegan cheese in Kroger grocery stores, and the two things that have impressed me about them are they’re recognizable as the flavors of dairy cheese they mimic and their texture is appetizing cold as well as melted. I guess there’s a third thing, which is the variety. I’ve tried the mozz, cheddar, feta and crumbled Parmesan, and they’re all good. I could use a little stronger flavor from the feta, and the melted texture is not exaaactly like melted dairy, but it’s the least “gluey” I’ve ever eaten. All products have cost USA$4.99 or $5.49 in two Kroger’s near me, so I feel like they’re a good deal, for vegan cheese, too. They also make mayo, but I’ve never liked mayo, so I can’t review that.

Software to Calculate Payments Based on Production Data?

I am an accountant in the Procurement department for a rural industry business. Our contracts specify a premiums and discounts for measurements and grades assigned by the US Department of Agriculture to deliveries from our farmers, and we also pause after applying the contract terms to give the boss an opportunity to reduce any discounts. My new boss wants to switch from doing this in spreadsheets to other software, but we have only been able to find software that manages an inventory or makes periodic payments that aren't based on a variable product. Analytics software doesn't conveniently allow us to overwrite discounts on an occasional basis, and our business has failed multiple times to implement an ERP. Can anyone tell me what type of software might meet our needs?

Great Clips Closed on Sundays Now?

I always get my hair cut at the Great Clips in Chevy Chase, going on Sundays because they have so little parking. I noticed the app and Google Maps said they were closed, but I went anyway because the phone said they were open, and another business had told me Google Maps says they’re closed because they’re open every other week in a certain day. Hours on the door say they’re closed should be open today too. What’s up?
