Safe Setup for Toddler

Safe Setup for Toddler

Our toddler almost climbed out of his crib yesterday so got this low profile mattress and Japanese floor bed frame. It’s against the wall at the “head” but the sides are at least 2-3 ft from the wall. Is this an okay set up for a 3yo?

1 or 1.5

I newer to Pilates. I’ve done a few months of 1-2 private classical sessions a week and am joining a local Club Pilates now. I was traveling recently and tried a few classes at the CP nearby. I did three 1.5s with very few corrections or issues. I feel like I see a lot of people saying they’ve done far more pilates sessions than me and are either still just doing 1 or just beginning 1.5. How do you decide which to attend? Is it appropriate for me to only attend 1.5s at the studio I join?

Statement Earrings

I’m a pretty basic wardrobe girlie most of the time. Jeans, blouse/sweater, sneakers/flat. I wear several rings, and a single bangle daily. So I just really switch up my hair and earrings. I’ve recently gotten into statement earrings and am wondering where others buy their earrings. I usually poke around Marshall’s/TJ Maxx type stores but wondering where else I can shop, including for some higher quality pieces.

MiraLAX and Poop Accidents

I see a lot of comments about giving kiddos miralax. Our toddler has only successfully pooped ok the potty once. I’ll know he has a poop coming bc he’ll pass gas, but he doesn’t tell me when he needs to go. I’ll just see the strain on his face. I’m wondering if people are giving miralax to make it so kids are more likely to poop when they sit down to pee on the potty. He’s been doing like 95% successful pees on the potty but I watch for his signals and usher him to the potty when it’s clear he needs to pee. I know him telling me he needs to will come. I’m just really unsure how to train for poop and appreciate anyone’s suggestions.

Potty Resistance

Our son has been making huge strides since starting potty training 3 weeks ago. He’s 33m. He’s having very few accidents maybe 1-2 every few days but i have 2 questions:

  1. He doesn’t yet tell us when he needs to go. I observe him and have him go when he she’s his cue (which is touching his pants/undies). I try to talk about the pee feeling, etc but he has yet to tell me he needs to go independently. Is there anything to be concerned about or do differently or should i just give it more time.
  2. Sometimes he refuses to sit on the potty. It seems unproductive to physically force him to do so. Is the “right” answer to let him refuse and have an accident? I realize I’m the parent and I’m in control but unsure of the right way to handle refusals.

This group helped so much a few weeks ago when we started. I’m so grateful!

32m boy

We started potty training yesterday, although they’ve been trying at school since Jan (taking him to the potty hourly). Yesterday he had 3 successful pees in the potty and no accidents the second half of the day (we were at the pool in the morning). Today, he started with peeing on the potty right after waking and then again about an hour later. Since then, we’ve only successfully made it to the potty once (immediately after nap). Otherwise, it’s like he’ll sit on the potty for 5 minutes, get off and within 5 minutes have an accident. Is this just normal or is it indicative of something I may be doing wrong?

I should add that when he pees on himself, he asks for a treat and then is heartbroken and cries when u tell him he only gets a treat if he pees in the potty.

Please help!
