Fun, yet elegant barn decor

My reception is going to take place in a barn. I am looking for design inspiration for the space. A lot of the previous weddings that took place there used the included decor, which is nice, but the basic white linens, plates, and chairs. People also typically did pretty sparse bud vases along the tables, or if they did more elaborate florals, they did white ones. I plan to use white linens, but upgraded chairs but more importantly, I'm hoping to use brighter, colorful, lush florals.

Does anyone have inspiration photos of something like what I'm describing? Or have tips for searching for it?

I have tried to look at similar venues in the area, but I'm not finding anything. I also spent hours on Pinterest, but there is so much poorly done AI, and even then most of it isn't in a barn.

Suggestions for rainy weather

I am about to go to Yellowstone for the first time and it looks like the weather is going to mostly be overcast. I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions for things to do and see when it’s more rainy and cloudy? I want to make the most of it and I’m sure it can be especially cool in some parts of the park.

ISO Colorful Bridal Marching Set

Hi there. I am helping my friend shop for a less traditional wedding look. No dresses, and no white. She is maybe interested in a suit, but has some reservations (not super relevant for this post).

She is interested in more of a matching set, with a vest and flowy pants in a silk or satin, or maybe a linen fabric. She likes this one (pictured) because something about the cut feels a little more elevated than a lot of similar ones. But a) the fabric is super shiny and b) we have never heard of this retailer, so there are some concerns there. She likes color, especially light pastels and would also be interested in something floral.

As a first step, we would love recommendations for stores and designers that have looks like this so she could at least try them on. She has time to do something custom if needed, but it would be nice to try on a few things to figure out what she likes. Budget is about $2,000 or so. Wedding is August 2027, USA. I’ve done lots of Google Lens and just getting a bunch of blue suits.

Colorful barn wedding reception?

I'm looking for inspo photos of barn decor for wedding receptions. I would love to have a pastel colored linen (pink, yellow, or green) and then I think I will upgrade my chairs from the plain white offered at my venue. Please share any photos of what you had on your day (or inspo photos you had)! ETA: Most photos of my venue either did plain white, white I feel is not my style, or farm tables which are beautiful but at $100 each I feel like it may be more cost effective to elevate the space with linens?

Hi all!

I have looked at probably 100 photographers trying to find someone who creates bright, vibrant photos, nice framing, and couples who look at ease and happy in their photos. I’d love any recommendations from people who know someone who fits this bill! I tend to prefer digital, but not opposed to film.

I found someone I like for ~6,000, which is wonderful, but my partner would like me to see if we can find anything similar for closer to 4,000-5,000. Or, if it’s 6,500 it would include a little more (ours has no second shooter or photo album for the price).

Example of one photographer I liked who was out of budget. Honestly the sky could be even bluer for my taste!

I am looking for a makeup artist for my Southern Vermont wedding in Fall 2027. I'm maybe a little ahead of the game, but I was looking at my venue's preferred vendors and none of them had the style I was looking for represented in their portfolio.

I would love to have more of the "elevated natural" look and prefer makeup that is more glowy. I also prefer more pinks than browns. I found one vendor who fit this description, but they charge $500 total for bridesmaid hair and makeup, which will be a little out of budget for my group. A lot of the vendors I am finding are either full glam or very natural, and not so in between. Or, their style is more matte.

I know not all vendors may have this style represented in their portfolio, but would love to hear from people who have had this style done by a vendor, or worked with someone super versatile!
