Bought a 75 for my first big aquarium. Stocking ideas?

Hi friends. I’ve been wanting a bigger aquarium for a while. And I kinda impulse bought a 75 gallon and stand at a petsmart sale today. No other equipment.

I’ve only done 2 10 gal betta tanks before so I’m very much a beginner.

What are you stocking recommendations? I like bright and colorful fish with personalities. Beginner friendly-ish.

I don’t think I want to do an African cichlid tank, though I considered that, because videos I’ve seen make it look like they just swim back and forth all day and you have to over crowd. It gives screen saver vibes.… and I’d like a few different types of fish.

I know space is a limit but I would prefer bigger/medium fish vs tiny ones.

What ideas do we have?

Also taking equipment advice

Located on the gulf coast. Just moved into my new house. It’s a newly built house and this is the crappy sod they laid down a month or so ago. Photos shows both right after a rain and the next day.

How on earth do I fix this? It’s laid over a little dirt and then compacted red construction clay/dirt. I built flower bed this week and it’s definitely compact. Digging a hole just to plant a few flowers and lay garden soil was an effort.

Do I just water heavily right now? I figured I should wait to fertilize until it’s a little stronger? Should I aerate?

I need budget friendly options (just bought the house… that’s expensive) but I don’t mind manual labor.

I don’t know much about grass. What kind of grass is this even?

Hi. So here’s the situation. I just moved into a new build. Got my fence built. Fence company (wonderful people) built the sides of the fence and the front. My neighbor already had a fence so the “back” was already built so we did not build that part. Thats pretty standard, right?

My fence does not touch his. We did not attach mine to his. All boards used to fill the gap are screwed into my fence. My fence is on my property, not his. My fence is also within hoa regulations. His is not, it’s made of the wrong material.

He apparently came and yelled at my fence crew while I was out and told them that I needed to pay him for half of his fence, should’ve notified him that I was building a fence, can’t use his fence, etc.

He has probably lived there and had this fence built longer than I’ve even thought about moving. I don’t think I’m responsible for paying him back half nor did I need to notify him since I’m not on his property and did not attach anything to his fence.

The fence crew handled it beautifully and clarified that none of this was my responsibility but he was certainly welcome to come speak with me. He has yet to do so.

But he has been circling my house with his car a few times and also just stopped and took photos of my house from the street. He probably doesn’t realize I work remote and have been seeing him do this.

How do I handle him?

Just moved in, located on the gulf coast. This sod has been down for a month. Not sure how to help it. I don’t know anything about grass but I know this looks terrible.
