They have made other coins multiple times. The $10 is one of my all time favorites.
They made it seem like this was a "guaranteed" buy back price and to "share with friends, family, and fellow collectors" (seems like they want to buy a ton!). As it turns out they were potentially just using previous customer liquidity to hedge the Liberty Bell Coins potential price increase while immediately removing this offer once the coins were available and the market didn't support their offer. I am not naïve enough to believe everything but I trusted them to honor this at least for some amount of time because it seemed fairly straightforward.
Customer service basically told me to F off (I called and emailed) because of "market conditions". It seems they bought or have a total stock quantity of qty 3. Anyway, I sold on eBay at a profit so the ending is happy enough but I have learned my lesson. Was not even considering this purchase prior to the Bullion Exchanges email.
In addition, they note on their selling guide that the package has to be postmarked/shipped to them 3 days after the sell agreement, so an honest person would wait for the product to ship or be delivered from the mint before clicking sell. I wonder if anyone clicked sell immediately and if they don't ship fast enough if they will cancel it. I had paid for overnight shipping to expedite this process.
At minimum, a really bad and poorly thought-out marketing email, that failed to consider the consequences of their statements. Worst case, an intentional hedge and intentionally screwing over previous customers. I have been a Bx customer since 2022 and have never seen this type of email from them (or anyone else).
