Adult coat changes

My 5yo Aspen appears to be doing more than a spring shed. His undercoat has been shedding for the last 4 months! He has plenty, so I'm not worried, but I was wondering if there is a point in adulthood that they go through a full coat change.

It's been in the upper 80's to upper 90's for over a month, dry and full of smoke in the air (Colorado is on fire). I brush him every morning and get way more than I used to. Plus he has that "pickers dream" of undercoat tufts.

If there's no history of these neutered males doing this I bet it's an anxiety response. He has been extra anxious and scared of noises lately. I've already taken him to the vet for this.

Anyone take the GED through DCL?

Anyone around here use the library service to take the GED? Did you go in person or online to test? I'm wondering about your experience and if the details of the environment were more extreme than it sounds on GED.com.

I'm trying to make these fit better.

I'm trying to make these shorts fit better. I have searched and read a lot on here and still can't figure out what to do next. This is the 4th try (and she wears all of them.) These photos are after sitting and best show the issues after walking around.

I'm thinking the back needs a deeper seat by elongating the yoke and maybe adding darts to the pants, less hight on the sides where it meets the yoke, and maybe a longer crotch. I know the elastic in the waistband effects it all, but she insists for the comfort of sitting and standing. The front I'm thinking is long in depth and short on crotch. I hesitate on all the adjustments since the side seams are a bit back and the inseam a bit forward.

What suggestions do you all have? Pants/shorts are the hardest! I figure once I get one pair figured out, I'll be golden for other patterns that are similar.

He's sunbathing!!

He's never laid down in the sun. Never. It's 72 or something here, a temp that he usually doesn't want to be out in. Is this what it means to be 5? Does your sunbathe ever?
