Coming here from collecting 40k for years. I've loved the designs of Chaos Warriors since 2006 and was looking to finally get started. Not sure what system I want to use but more importantly I really like both the Chaos Warriors boxes that are out (or about to be for the new fantasy ones) and was wondering If they can be used together to add depth to the army designs?

As long as weapons and bases are correct, I should be able to mix and match them right?

Also, what game system would people recommend, Fantasy or AoS?

Thinking about running a small Murdertalon detachment and wanted some opinions on how many y raptors to run as a part of them, and if running Warp Talons would also be recommended? Who leads what? I'm fairly new to list building and the like and am just starting to actually play in 11th.

Just finishing up a new batch of Sterguard. I'm using MK2 armour and extra combi weapons from my actual sterguard set. Each Marine is kitted up with purity seals, ammo pouches, pistol holsters ect. I plan on painting the helms white as well as the trim and adding the elite unit icon to the right hand shoulderpad. Also painting a kneecap white.

Is there anything else I could do to make this unit stand out as Sternguard?

Kinda wanted to get some Drukhari for awhile now, figured a box of warriors would be a good place to start.

Would it be better to get the Kabalite Warriors box or the Kill team Hand of the Archon(?) box?

A little preface, decided to not pick up the Armageddon set mainly because I enjoy painting Chaos more than loyalists. So using the money I had budgeted for it, I've decided to just expand my Chaos forces. Yes, the Defiler is on my list. But I also would like a small army to set up to play against with friends.

So my question is, who else besides the Imperium do we hate? Who would it make sense for my Chaos forces to enter combat against? Are there other forces we just don't care enough about to fight them? If it helps, my force is a Black Legion Warband that truly believes Abaddon is a cloned son of Horus and will lead us in a new galactic crusade.
