New players who are frustrated and confused: Morrowind is not a game that you beat or speed run through. It's a world you go live in for a while.

Don't be in a hurry to accomplish the quests. You can skip quests entirely and still have a rich gaming experience.

Don't worry about whether your character design is good. Some are easier to play than others, but difficult builds can still be fun from a roleplaying approach.

Play a faction questline, then make a new character and play a different faction questline. There are about a dozen of them, depending on how one counts the overlaps. Four of them involve building your own estate by stages.

Explore. Poke into tombs and temples. Give your character a hobby, like collecting botanical samples. Pick a place to use as your house and decorate it. I had a character who lived in a cave after clearing the bandits out. I had a character live in a daedric temple after clearing the cultists out. I had a character take a vow of poverty and live in a shack. Read the books. Amass a fortune.

SLOW. DOWN.

Watch a sunset. Stand outside and look at the stars. Listen to the music. Look at the architecture.

There's a reason some of us are still playing this game 24 years after it came out, and it's because we just enjoy being in this world. It's got nothing to do with "winning" or "beating" Morrowind.

The mild-mannered travelling priest telling the professional monster hunter that he needn't bother hanging around this temple anymore since I already killed the 2 cliffracers, kagouti, 6 clannfears, 3 ogrims, storm atronach, 3 heavy armor cultists and their mage, and the dremora.

My favorite outfit. Bonemold armor with "hakama" for a sort of Redoran Samurai look.

Please tell me what's wrong: naval invasion says it can't start because I have 0 of 375 naval dominance, but I have over 18,000 naval dominance in the correct sea zones. Illustrations in comments.
