After a decade away, we rejoined the club!

Had it about a month now, and finally took the chance yesterday to take an on-road day trip of central Oregon.

overall we’re big fans of it. The new auto doesn’t search for gears on the highway like our 3rd gen did, and the electric torque fill sure helped In the small off-road trail we tried our hand at with it.

Already ordered: a full rack to replace the chase rack it came with; the family will be happy when I can get this pile of stuff from the last rig out of the garage!

Am I gonna have to start stocking ducks?

Parked parallel in front of another r53 at the post office during drop off (Skipped the rule #1 picture because my car is currently filthy).

Came out to a duck on the dash. I admit it. I was tickled.

Are we jeep owners now? Is that what we are? Do I need to file a formal protest and then go 3d print a giant batch of ducks?

tl;dr: We need a new suspension for our R53. Thoughts between KW V2s and the extra cost in an Ohlins setup?

95% driving through the neighborhoods of Vancouver (the original one) and highways around it, and 5% at the track.

Looks like a 500.00 difference. I've always used KWs on my cars, but they are a little harsh on the street (the car will remain the company delivery van, it's just gonna go to track days on weekends.)

Nobody on our staff is a good enough driver to feel the difference in track performance between either of these shocks, but they'll likely complain if it's suddenly too stiff on the street, when it's back to doing it's 9-5 job of delivering stickers and making taco bell runs.

VROOOOM!

jack tax attached.
