I often need to be aesthetically attracted to someone in order to feel platonic attraction. I assume I'm not alone in this?

Came to this community because I thought if anyone could relate, it'd be one of you guys

I've found that I have a really hard time feeling any genuine or sustainable attachment to people or even desiring it. But then if I meet an attractive man, all I want in life is to be friends with him, and if he has an attractive personality as well, then I'll actually form a platonic bond. Though sometimes, usually through forced proximity, if I find out he's a pleasant person despite not being much to look at, then I'll feel a platonic draw as well as begin to find him physically attractive. I guess that's a bit weird, no? I'm sitting there blushing and grinning and stuttering meanwhile my daydreams are of just being friends, maybe roommates eventually

Decora skirt WIP

Just gotta finish the bottom ribbon, copy it at the base of the waistband, trim the elastic, and add the hip bow I'm planning!! Might also make a petticoat for it since it falls a bit flat lol. I think I might also use a bit of the leftover elastic to make matching wrist cuffs! 🖍️🍊🐤🍏📘🍇

Love how I dressed myself today but it would appear I am a lone digger!!

Not super "lone", I did get some compliments when I was out today but reddit did NOT appreciate it!! Ended up deleting three of my posts with this because of how many downvotes I was getting 😅 (all alt fashion subs), which is weird because I've posted stuff like this before and have been fine!!

This is my first ever quilt btw!!

So- I don't like how plain the red squares are, and to fix that, I wanted to try adding a plaid star to each one, but I'm not sure how to do that. I've made fabric stars before, so that's not the issue. My question is how do I sew the star onto the square once I've made it? My thought was to either try pinning it and then sewing it down with my machine OR put a square in an embroidery hoop, glue the star down, and then hand sew. What do you guys think?
