What's good against Brock?

What's good against Brock?

I chose Charmander as my starter and am going for the retroachievement where I have to beat Brock with level 14 or lower Pokemon in set mode. In FireRed I picked up a Mankey that solo'd Brock, but I'm not sure what to grab in Red.

Edit: Thanks for all the answers. Mankey isn't an option in Red, and Nidoran(M) doesn't learn double kick until level 43. The achievement required 2 or less mons (since Brock has 2) at level 14 or lower. I didn't want to lose one either if I could help it for lore purposes.

Charmander/Butterfree level 13 each.

Started with Charmander, spammed ember until Geodude was dead (luckily he used defense curl 4-5 times in a row), got a few ember chips on Onix before I had to swap to Butterfree for the win.

Obviously an easy fight but was closer than I would have thought. I'm not nuzlocking but I'm going for chieves and if I mess one up I'm not reloading, so it was a bit of a clencher for a sec.

Guys, I was training my party for Sabrina when I missed a tackle on a rattata on route 1. The rattata then proceeded to miss it's own tackle (1/27 chance or 0.7342% odds for it to choose tackle and miss consecutively after I chose tackle and missed), after which I chose growl and MISSED (1/750 CHANCE OR 0.00067% for these actions in perfect succession). After this I realized I had a chance at the rarest possible line of rng in FRLG of all time, approximately 4,999,999,999x rarer than a shiny.

Hands trembling, I watched as the text popped up onscreen "Rattata used GROWL. The attack MISSED"

I kid you not I threw my switch so fast with excitement that it slipped into a wormhole (1/9,004,822,977,100 chance or 0.00000000000000000000001%). I believe I've done it, the holy grial of Fire red rng. This day will go down as legend

First of all is this a decent Larvitar? Playing on difficult. S in HP and Speed, A's in defense, and only B+ on Attack.

Second, I saw a post from 5 months ago from someone asking if their starters IV's were good. They also mentioned that they got the same "star line" 5 times in a row? Is that a typo or is star line terminology/mechanics I don't understand?
