I once exposed my online situationship to his cousin after he got engaged to her

Okay so this happened like 10 years ago and I still randomly think about how absolutely unhinged the whole situation was.

I met this guy through an online gig I was doing. He added me on Facebook, we started chatting, and eventually things got… serious. Or at least I thought they were serious…

He kept telling me he was going to marry me once he got a full-time job. And because I was young, naive and apparently had unlimited patience, I WAITED. For like two years.

We’d go out for lunch, talk constantly, get more and more emotionally attached, and I genuinely thought there was a future here.

Then the day he finally landed a full-time job, I thought, “Okayyy, this is it. The moment has arrived.”

Nope.

He hits me with:
“Ammi nahi maan rahin.”

Apparently, his mother had already decided that his mamu ki beti was going to be his wife.

I was like… BRO?????
You made me wait TWO YEARS. You made promises. You talked about marriage. And now your entire defence is basically “my mom said no”?

But it gets better.

The following week, this man got engaged to the cousin.
And suddenly he went full Zaamil mode on me:
“Wo meri honay wali biwi hai. Agar main tumse rabta rakhunga toh uska gunahgaar hunga.”

Sir??? Where was this moral awakening during the two years of flirting, emotional attachment and everything else?

So naturally, my 20-something-year-old brain decided to make a completely rational and mature decision.

I sent his cousin screenshots of all his messages.

The love declarations.

The flirting.

The… sexting.

Everything.

And apparently she had already seen all of my messages too, so I basically just handed her the director’s cut.

I have absolutely no idea what happened after that BUT...
Shortly afterwards, this man started putting sui*/dal-looking DPs/statuses on all his social media accounts. So I assume the screenshots did something 👀

Anyway, wherever you are bro, I hope you’re doing great!
Actually, no. I hope you’re still miserable 🥲

My 3-year-old’s personality has completely changed since starting preschool — is this normal?

My 3-year-old daughter started preschool in July, and since then we’ve noticed a pretty major shift in her personality.

Before preschool, she was extremely social and interactive. She would ALWAYS greet random people in the condo elevator, at the mall, etc. She’d ask people their names, compliment what they were wearing, wish them a good day, and generally just engage with everyone. She became quite well-known in our building because people would always comment on how chatty and friendly she was for such a young child.
Since starting preschool, though, she has become almost the complete opposite around other people.

She actually seems fairly confident at school (drop-offs and pick-ups are smooth) and she apparently communicates quite a lot with her teachers. Her teachers also describe her as one of the happiest kids at school.
But outside of school, she barely talks to anyone anymore. She doesn’t greet neighbours, and if someone asks her a question, she often won’t respond. Instead, she might do some silly actions or just run away.

Her behaviour at home has changed quite a bit too. She seems much more emotional and is very quick to cry or scream over things that previously wouldn’t have bothered her.

I should mention that her transition into preschool itself was incredibly smooth. From literally day one, she happily went into school without much fuss, and we’ve consistently been told that she’s a very happy child there. She also seems to be doing well socially with her teachers.

We’ve also been quite careful about her sleep schedule, diet, etc., so I’m wondering if this could simply be a normal developmental response to starting preschool, or whether there could be something else going on.
Has anyone experienced something similar with their 3-year-old after starting preschool/daycare?

I’d really appreciate hearing other parents’ experiences and whether this is something I should just give her time with, or something worth discussing with her teachers/pediatrician.
