What kind of names do you give to your characters?

I’ve always found common names boring. That’s why I name my characters names that are rooted in biblical lore or old names that aren’t popular anymore. Or just plain not so common names.

I have characters named Jeremías, Montserrat, Maximiliano, etc.

What kind of names do you give to your characters?

Are any of you artists?

By artist I mean it as a broad term. I’m talking about writers, musicians, painters, dancers, etc. I’m a writer and a painter, and I wanted to know if there was someone else here that does art.

I think Hera gave me a sign or a blessing

Last night I was at home wondering what to do with a bunch of poems I’d written a while ago as gratitude for a series goddesses.
An idea struck my head, one that I had been thinking for a while.
I lit one of my cherry scented candles, folded the paper in four and let burn next to the candle.
The wind started to blow and I could feel my windows rattling and shaking. The fire started to elevate so much so I was afraid it was going to burn my wooden night table and start a fire.
After I closed the windows the fire started to go down. The paper became blazes and the scent of cherry was sweet. It was kind of nice.

Do you have any fantasy or lgbt romance recs?

I realized that most of my shelf is full adult books and I want to read YA books, since is the category I write in. I miss YA books, whenever I think a book is YA, it turns to be Adult. And some are not even good.

Anyway, please help me. I might be old but I’d like to read something that hits the soul. Thanks in advance.

Periods (literally)

Hi everyone,
I’m having my period right now and feeling like I always do: hungry, tired and in pain. Has your period ever impacted you in any way, shape or form when you have them?
I remember my first period. I was eleven and in school. It was very random, I didn’t expect it. After that it was a week of pads and abdominal pain. That and some food cravings.

What’s your experience with periods?
