Both really fun great books!
Really really loved B2F. Think canterbury tales meets a Hieronymus Bosch painting with a dash of To Reign in Hell by Steven Brust.
Also thoroughly enjoyed THP. Kingfisher says that sometimes a line from someone else’s story gets stuck in her brain and she has to write a novel To get it out. Her first book in the Sworn Soldier series was a response to Silvia Moreno Garcia’s Mexican Gothic. This is a response to Algernon Blackwood’s The Willows. And it delivers! Small town oddities museum hides a portal to another world (or two…)
This show was cancelled less than 24 hours before it was supposed to start due to “due to illness and medical advice”. As far as I know they never specified what the medical illness was. And also I don’t think it was rescheduled at least during that same tour. They next played Glasgow about a year later.
It’s too bad also — to my mind it is one of the best posters of that tour. It’s a fantastic fusion of Charles Rennie Mackintosh / Glasgow School design with the Guns N’ Roses motifs.

The green in KN is spectacular to behold person. Almost looks like it could be glow in the dark but I haven’t checked personally.
This screen print is insanely detailed. I can’t imagine how hard it was to do the color seps on this. Zoom in and look!
And how is this only a five color print. Boggles my mind.
I think this would have looked real cool as a foil too, adding some metallic edge to the cars if done right. But that may have been too complicated.
