FD-37: Daily Flash / Buffalo Springfield / Congress of Wonders - San Francisco CA, 2-3 Dec 1966. Art by Ned Lamont aka Tom Glass

As far as I know, this is the only poster that Ned Lamont did. The art style is a bit looks by most Family dog comparisons and I’m not a super fan of the color scheme. I still think it’s a pretty fun poster, tho.

1325 miles, 7 days, 5 shows, 4 show posters, 2 promo posters

I had the week off last week, so I took it easy and just lounged around the house. Ha! Who am I kidding?

1-2. Johnny Blueskies and the Dark Clouds - Eugene OR, 21 Sept 2026. Art by Neal Williams (gold foil and regular). There’s also a swirl foil that was exclusive to his AP drop that is on the way to me.

  1. Sleep - Seattle WA, 22 Sept 2026. Art by Arik Roper. This is the “regular” tour poster, 24x36. There was a foil but apparently it sold out multiple dates prior to when I saw them. It’s odd that they didn’t allot a specific amount to each show. I asked the merch lady if I could roll the poster myself (I have control issues) and she got very offended, stating that Arik Roper himself taught her how to roll posters. Cool. Doesn’t alleviate my need to roll it myself. The makers of Zig-zag rolling papers could have taught her how to roll but I still would prefer to roll it myself.

  2. (repost) Chelsea Wolfe - Salem OR, 19 Sept 2026. Art by Caitlin Mattisson.

  3. Sleep - Portland OR, 23 Sept 2026. Roseland theatre promo poster. Used art by Dave Kloc for the comic book. I couldn’t go to this show (instead went to Seattle) because we saw Orville Peck in Troutdale OR. <Orville did not have any posters— aargh!>

  4. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats with Messa - Portland OR, 25 Sept 2026. Roseland theatre promo poster. Artist unknown.

News articles about the death in the road in Gleneden last night?

Basically, title.

Coming home from the Chelsea Wolfe concert in Salem, we sat in 101 south of Siletz River bridge for approx 45-60min. Finally saw the cause of the delay right at the intersection of 101 and salishan drive. Looked like a car hit a pedestrian in the middle of the intersection (meaning not on the shoulder etc).

I checked Lincoln chronicle, Lincoln city home page, OSP flash alerts but am finding no reference to this accident. And I don’t have Facebook.

Can anyone direct me to some information about it?

Does anyone need free poster tubes?

I have way too many poster tubes and need to offload some of them. I used to have a fairly local friend that used them for his business but now he has moved away. These are free. Yes, you heard me — FREE!

Am willing to deliver 10 or more in the following central coast area (Newport Depoe Gleneden Lincoln nesko pacific city). My address will have been removed from them, of course.

This is just a small smattering of what I have to give away.

[63/52] A Guardian and a Thief by Megha Majumbar

Audio.

By the author of A Burning. Megha writes novels set in India. I hadn’t read her previous book but my wife had and really enjoyed it. Pretty sure we have it kicking around here somewhere.

This one is set in an alternate present day or perhaps near future dystopian Kolkata (Calcutta). A Kolkata that gone to ruin due to excessive heat, food shortages, flash floods. Ma and her daughter and father just got approved for a “climate refugee” visa to go to America where Ma’s husband works in Ann Arbor. By some unfortunate happenstance (which isn’t as random as you are first lead to believe) their passports/visas go missing. Just one week before their flight to safety. The entirety of the book is their last week in Kolkata and their struggles to retrieve the passports/visas or do whatever else is necessary to get on that plane. Interweaved with that narrative is the narrative of Boomba, a homeless young adult trying to survive any way possible on the streets. Of course, just based on my previous sentences, you know these two narratives are going to collide and merge into one.

NB: if you are looking for uplifting and clearly defined good v evil, keep looking. This ain’t that.

At first I thought it was going to be a simple morality play and felt it was too obvious but as the events keep piling on, it definitely took on the feeling of Greek tragedy. Foretold, sure, but still worthy in the telling.

4 outta 5 for me.
Edit. Maybe 3.75/5.

[Concert Poster Adjacent] Metallica - Snake Lion by Zeb Love

I really dig how he went with a medieval look for this art. To me, it has the feel of an illustration you would find in an illuminated manuscript.
