Temp - Should I let them terminate me?

Hey ya'll.

I was hired as a temp in 2024. I got a new job at the end of 2025 and haven't accepted a call since November 2025. I still get calls to this day. The most recent call finally mentioned my lack of shifts the past year and that I would be terminated automatically if I haven't accepted a shift at the 1 year mark of my last shift.

Would me accepting even just 1 shift extend my employment by another year? I'm not necessarily close to the top of the seniority list, but it is a nice backup if I need it.

Also, would me being terminated affect my back pay at all with the new contract?

What would you do in my situation?

South East / East Asian catering in the GTA.

Hey y'all!

I'm in the process of finding a caterer for my wedding in Markham, Ontario, and having a tough time finding South East / East Asian catering.

I really liked the vibe and pricing of Chau Toronto, but they haven't responded to my inquiries at all (it's been more than a month), which is so unfortunate because I was so ready to have them cater since I loved their menu options.

Other ones I've taken a look at, but not convinced of yet:

  • Rovey
  • Hong Shing
  • Grand Catering
  • Asian Garden

Are there any other Asian options I don't seem to be aware of that any of you can recommend? TIA!

Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate - Reviews?

Hey y'all.

I'm very interested in Humber's Supply Chain Management Grad Cert Program. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this program and what your thoughts on it were.

I also notice that there's an online option but it doesn't mention if it's asynchronous or not.

TIA!

CSCP / CPIM or schooling?

Hey y'all.

I'm currently an inventory controller in Canada, looking to upgrade my skills. I'm hoping to get a chance at joining the supply chain team at my current company down the line or another company if the opportunity arises.

I currently posses an advanced diploma (or an associates degree in the US) in Software Development, if that means anything.

I'm very lucky where my company is willing to pay for my education, so I've been looking around at some programs and certs. Mostly looking for online programs, since I obviously still need to work.

I'm debating if I should just go and attempt to get my CSCP/CPIM certs, or get more formal education at a school. What would you guys suggest? And if you're in Canada, I'd love to hear from you the most.

Some programs I've come across that would still let me work:

Thank you in advance!
