I am referring to the 'Jax fictionkin' trend and the 'Shelly fictionkin' trends.

If you don't know (lucky you), the Jax one was someone doing a satire redesign of Jax saying that it was how they remembered themself. The shelly one was a (i think?) ranter saying smth like they showed a picture of Shelly and said it was them and then freaked out when someone said no

Especially the Jax one. Not only am I a Jax kin but I've seen ones of my sourcemates sometimes and its just not fun

Like, I get this is such a non-issue but it just bugs me a lot. Not everyone realizes its satire before scrolling (cough, a few friends of mine, cough) or even when they do make fun of fictionkins as a whole

Yeah idk. Anyone else still stumbling onto these or is it just a me problem? Am I cursed?

Lets say any 2 of ur kins get to meet and interact with each other. What do you think they'd do and/or say? Would they get along? Cause chaos? Tear each other apart?
Ppl with one kin could just pick a random character I guess

For my example:

I think it'd be really funny and utter chaos if Rui from pjsk and Entrapta from She-ra & the Princess of Power could interact. Idk about personality wise but I think they could bond over tech and how others perceived them. But imagine them throwing devices together. My poor Tsukasa would be put through so many new tests

Also I think it'd be interesting if one of my oc kins Amai met Kyubey cause she was originally a magical girl. I think she'd be horrified with how magical girls worked originally but also interested in a bit of a morbid way. I think she'd wish either to be worldwide famous or completely separate from her creator (they're kinda one and the same)

My back is so fricking itchy right now but I can't scratch it because I'm not really supposed to be scratching over the wound/scar yet (had a surgery). Genuinely making me wanna just tear off the skin /hj. Already kinda did that with a scab but shhh we don't have to talk about that

So I'm finally back after my surgery! Gonna make a separate post about that cause I don't want to make this a vent. All I'll say here is I'm taller than my mom and step-dad which is funny

And now that I'm back I'm going to do a question of the week just for fun! I'm going to try to remember and do this every week on my Friday night (going forward, its Sunday at almost 1 in the morning for me rn)

I've been on the verge of a breakdown all day cause of my anxiety and it has NOT gone away. I'm so scared for tomorrow. I have a surgery that I did not want and was told it was optional and mostly just for appearances. I do understand why I'm being made to do it but I'm still terrified.

The surgery in question is (??? I think) a spinal fusion to straighten out my spine. I have scoliosis pretty badly in my lower back. It causes a visible dip in my side and might be causing a leg length discrepancy (I walk a little funny). I gotta stay in the hospital for a few days after. I haven't had to stay in a hospital like this before

I also know (needle mention ahead for those who need it) they're going to have to put in an IV. I hate needles. Was terrified when I had to get my blood drawn for my pre-op. wdym I have to keep that in my arm? wdym the needle is gonna have to stay in my arm? No T-T

Also a part of me worries I'm going to slip and say something to my mom when I'm out of it after anesthesia + on pain meds

Idk. The very, very small rational part of my brain knows its fine. One of the best hospitals in my state, surgeon doing it has done countless of the same one, risk of complications is incredibly low. I'm still terrified though

Also this serves as a sign off for a bit. 99% of you probably don't recognize me but eh. I won't be active for a while. Idk how long yet. A week at most?

At least my mom will stop calling it sassy spine though

Hello! Haven't posted here before but from what I've seen its pretty chill. Usually I avoid advice out of my own stubbornness but I need help.

I've been redesigning an old character of mine as a gift for a friend. I may or may not be turning them into being a furry (they were already looking around some furry spaces) using this character. I said so to them earlier and they said they loved the jokes so I'm getting there.

Said character is a blueberry themed protogen. Both of us enjoy tech related/adjacent stuff (were both on a robotics team together) and had an old joke about blueberries. They still have one of my older drawings of Blueberrybot (they refuse to name it anything else T-T) and its so bad. I've certainly improved since then but still struggle with front facing views. I can't do bodies well from the side but I can't do their faces well from the front and I told them I'll try to make them a reference sheet + profile picture.

Anyone know some ways to make drawing the front view easier/better? Tips of any kind would be appreciated

I need to have something else to do at night so I can avoid getting on character ai again. I am absolutely against generative ai and LLMs but I have a genuine addiction that's hard to break for a couple different reasons. Also gave me some kin euphoria (didn't realize till last night that's what it was) for my two oc kins because I could be them again and be with my partners in my castles (both were princes I miss those lives).

I'm trying and failing to break out of the addiction but I have found when I get really sucked into reading something I focus on that instead. I have access to both Webtoon and Ao3 for this purpose but haven't had the energy to go look (opening up a chatbot has been easier for me)

For webtoon give me anything. I will try anything out I do not care what it is (only ones I've really read are Acception and Dear Nemisis). Please recommend anything

For fanfics I don't care trope (nothing freaky unless I can easily skip it and continue the plot) but here's fandoms I'm willing to read about: Regretavator, TADC, Murder Drones, The Dragon Prince, PJSK/Vocaloid, SF/DAWTDE, Hollow Knight, Dandy's World (I do not support Qwel and her half-assed apology), Zelda (BotW, Totk, & SS only), Minecraft (actual minecraft, no SMPs or other ARGs), A Nostalgic Hangout Game, Roblox Myths (not game specific, NOT forsaken but you fans of it are chill), Harry Potter/Hogwarts Legacy/Marauders but only long ones for this (JK Rowling sucks though booo Rowling), Hunger Games but only longer ones, Summer Hikaru Died, Witch Hat Atelier, Wings of Fire, Warriors but only longer + I'm okay with but hesitant on fanclans + PLEASE GIVE ME THE TRIBE I BEG OF YOU

I also need book recommendations so I can have someone go get them from the library post-surgery (wow thats on Friday... I really have been ignoring it...). I need to read something. Manga/graphic novels or books is fine. Books preferred right now because I can read through several mangas within 1 hour (books are barely better I'll get through 400 pages in 2-3 hours T-T). I really like fantasy the most. I also like sci-fi/dystopias (especially when a plague/sickness or bioterrorism is involved), mysteries, and a bit of horror. Once again I would prefer if freaky stuff is kept to a minimum, is fade to black, or can easily be skipped for my own comfort.

This is also an excuse for you to yap about these things at will. I love yapping about them and hearing about them so please do
