this is the first sona i’ve made in years, and i was hoping a name would come to me while i worked on him but ive had no luck :(

i’m thinking something naturey or plant based, but also don’t want something super common or cutesy

i know there’s only so much advice you can give a stranger online, but i thought i’d see if anyone has any input loll

Unnamed Utahraptor

EDIT: meant to say yutyrannus! Had a brain fart /o\ also, yes those are shaggy feathers and also, his name is now ‘Enoch’.

Finally got a design commission back for this boy (drawn by crazyadoptmfc on FurAffinity) and I’m not sure what to call him. He’s based on dirt and worms and caramel, the tail is a gummy worm. My first online handle was Cookie so I’ve considered that? This is gonna be my ‘sona.

Hi! I'm working on my first Fursona. How does the top half look? Anything I should change/add?

Currently working on my first Fursona, Onyx Thornsnout, a Giant Anteater. And I was wondering if there is anything I should change about the base layer/colors on the top half (going to work on the middle and bottom next)?

Also have some other special things I want to add later, but first just want to get the main fur/hair done.

The eye looks a little weird to me, is there something I could do to make it look better?

Thanks in advance <3

Design struggles…

Help!! I don’t know why it’s so hard for me to come up with a fursona.. whether it’s indecisiveness or art block or just pure bad luck I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe I’ll have better luck commissioning someone to help design one for me.

My question is… how do I find artists that specifically help with designing? It’s not hard to find an artist to commission for general things but I’m finding it difficult to find one for specifically people like me 🙃

… not as important but is there something I’m missing maybe? I used to have a really old sona back in middle school but I want to start from scratch.. maybe I’m just not creative enough. My last resort would just be finding adopts but I haven’t gotten there yet.

TL;DR - need helping finding artists that can help with designing/creating a fursona

haven’t had a fursona in years, colors are hard!!

i’m (he/him) working on a currently unnamed fursona, and the first sona design i’ve made probably since 2020ish. i havent even colored the wings yet, i’m still just trying to decide on the body/eye colors.

i tried a more natural looking color palette for #1, but green is my favorite color so i keep being drawn back to the ones that have some. i also want him to be a little unsettling - hence the small hare pupils - so if you any other ideas on how to do that i’d love to hear them!

I don't know what animal my fursona is...

So I have a fursona, Bit (as seen above) & after years I finally redesigned her but I have no memory of what animal he is based on, & I'd love some help figuring it out.

I don't have many old drawings of her, cuz I binned em all, and I remember he is a hybrid of a few animals... But I have very little clue which ones.

I think one of them was a Red Panda, and possibly a cat or dog, but I really have no clue

can anyone smarter than me help figure out what animals Bit is plz.

Thank you very much for any help.

Still not satisfied with my raccoon…

I have changed, restarted and redesigned my sona at least five times since I’ve been a furry over the course of ten years.

I like a lot of the really detailed sonas/suits I see and really feel like I’ve come close to something that scratches that inner child itch. I can’t help feeling like something is off/missing though. I know I needed to add paw pads when I made the commision but that’s an easy fix.

I felt like it needed another color (red/black/gold is my fav but adding something aside from white to that is ugly to me) and maybe something changed with the maw coloring? I felt like it should’ve been white but every time I try to work it out, it looks like a clown.

Someone please offer some ideas! I’m saving for a fursuit but can’t make a huge commitment like that without being 100% in love with my guy.

Species combination ideas? Or how to feel more attached to my sonas

Hiii!!

I’ve recently been going through some identity stuff (the early 20s special) and I’ve been trying to consolidate my sonas into something I feel more connected to. Above I’ve included a series of sonas/ocs that all represent bits of me, I know having a lot of them is ok but again I’d like to make just one that is a good all-rounder choice if that makes sense!!

I’ve previously incorporated elements of my favourite stuffed animals, desserts and sweets since I have a sweet tooth, etc,

My favourite animals/ones i relate to are:

  • Bunnies
  • Moths
  • Bats
  • Bees
  • Rooks (the birds)

My favourite colours are orange, pink, brown, and yellow! Though I love all colours teehee. I’m thinking about incorporating s’mores since they’re my favourite sweet!! Other than that idk I’m kind of reserved and like video games, art, and space :)

So uhm yeah if anyone has any ideas about species combinations, how to make these guy look appealing,,, anything at all! Apologies for the variance in art quality these designs are all over the course of a few years
