His name is Thomas and he’s a sea bunny. He eats by filter feeding water and eating the microbes in it.

It’s narrowed down to either Thomas the sea slug cis gay male using he/him pronouns, Thomas the selkie cis gay male using he/him pronouns or Sabrina the human straight trans woman using she/her pronouns

The thing is I did a dna test and I only got 5% Scottish and 3% Irish DNA with majority Mediterranean DNA so I don’t know if I’d be culturally appropriating the selkie as I’m a white American.

Hi everyone! I’m designing my fursona and I’m having some trouble with the Value Scale (grayscale clarity).The Concept:He’s an Oriental Dragon with an athletic build.

His role is a "Paladin and Philologist," so I'm aiming for a noble and scholarly look.

The Palette:

Body: Ice Grey (Core color, very light).

Belly: Yellow.

Mane: Blonde.

Plates/Horns/Nose: Dark Slate Grey (Contrast anchor).

Patterns/Tattoos: Cyan/Turquoise.

The Problem:I’m having a hard time balancing these colors. As you can see in the second image (the color chart), when I test the design in grayscale, the Ice Grey body and the Yellow belly blend together because their brightness levels are too similar. I’m also struggling to create enough separation between the Blonde mane and the light-colored body.

How can I balance the light grey body with the yellow belly so they don't wash each other out?

How can I make the Blonde mane stand out more against the light grey skin?

Where would you place the Cyan/Turquoise accents to make them "pop" in this specific color scheme? Please ignore the roughness of the sketch! I’m still in the brainstorming phase and trying to figure out the color hierarchy before moving to final lineart.

Based on the tarántula Tliltocatl verdezi/Brachypelma verdezi! However what makes it different is that it's a were-tarántula!

We have been very curious on implementation of various stuff look at our prior posts on fursonahelp, furgonomics, and here on bug_people!

We experience DID (dissociative identity disorder), AuADHD (autism & attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), gender dysphoria, disabled with chronic sciatica, myopia, and other many things!

We wanted to explore personal protective equipment, mobility aid, and braces. Definitely would love to see more art of sonas/alters with eyewear, braces, splints & mobility aids who are neurodivergent. Whether is literal or metaphorical.

To explain the mouth it opens similar to fortune-teller origami that goes in/out/open/shut (with top/bottom & left/right sides). This emphasizes us being DID/transgender alongside the were-tarántula aspect.

Even the fangs retract for wearing a mask on the mouth as well as a mask on the abdomen for the book lungs! The mask is based on N95 "Duckfold" mask! We are Covid cautious/realists for allowing life affirming space aligned with disability justice!

We also use Ergocane 2G and Body Braid to help us be mobile! We wanted to include those in this design. Even the glasses are like goggles (which we eventually want to help prevent ocular spread, we just have regular lenses atm).

Scratch/Rasguño is very playful, curious, instinctual! Speaks in in 3rd person often expressing feelings, describing sensory experienced in very specific detail, and loves food/naps.

Would want to eventually explore what clothes would be like! Definitely alt/punk/goth/emo style for sure!

I'm not really a big furry, but I like to be involved in every so I made a fursona. A friend of a friend drew her for me. But I don't know much about this community or what kind of names y'all use? Any recommendations for this girl? She's on my Artfight profile with no name rn

This is Doodle he is off course my fursona he’s also a giant anteater. I’ve tried blues, teals, whites, browns, and even orange! Everytime I try something it feels like I’m copying Salsa the Anteater and I don’t want look like her I just want something unique. I do have another fursona who’s a Paralophsaurs (I don’t have a ref sheet for him yet) who’s more colder colors maybe I could try warm colors? Idk please give me tips on coloring

I'm designing my first fursona and feeling quite happy with how it's coming along, but I'm not sure about how to approach the patterning. If you have any suggestions for how you think of patterns, or what you'd do for for this particular fursona, I'd really appreciate it

Extra note, I'd quite like for the orange and pink to be more prominent than the blue, which I was thinking could be more subtle
