I’m trying to design a fursona and I can’t come up with anything. I don’t know what animal to choose. I want something kinda unique, and I really like birds but I don’t think I want to do a bird. I also really like cats but that’s a pretty common animal. The other thing is that I feel like if I design something I’m gonna be unhappy with it in a couple months or I feel like won’t represent me. Any help?? The pictures are like kindaaa my aesthetic. I wanna be whimsical. Like I like moths and mushrooms and moss green colors, warm browns, light tans/off whites. Idk if that helps but yeah

Hi! I got this girlie as a second hand suit back in May, and I haven't been able to come up with a good name for her yet!!

I'm looking for more cartoony type names than human names! I feel like flowers are a theme with her, so maybe something floral? She's very happy and fun, outgoing, yet a little shy, and feminine! She's very different from me lol, I'm a goth guy under the suit, but I got her because I like playing characters that are different from me! (Plus a little excuse for dressing in drag lol) She's a real cutie and sweetie, so I'm looking for a name that fits that!

Hello! I’m a brand-new furry to the community, and I’d really love some help figuring out my fursona! I have a pretty basic idea and design so far—I already know their name, gender, and sexual orientation—but I’m having a hard time deciding what kind of animal/race they should be.

I’ve been thinking about making them a rabbit/___ demon hybrid because my partners say I have a lot of rabbit/bunny-like qualities. At the same time, I sometimes feel like I have more cat- or dog-like traits, so I’m not entirely sure what fits best. 😅

One thing I *am* pretty certain about, though, is that they’re definitely a demon. 😈

I’d really appreciate any ideas or suggestions for what kind of species, animal combination, or demon hybrid might fit their personality and design! I’m still very new to the furry community, so I’m excited to learn and figure out what works.

I was experimenting with a puma fursona before but inspiration struck and I made this rodent fursona as I just dont vibe with being a feline after testing it out internally. Here’s a quick sketch I made of her tonight before bed.

Was thinking of making a third fursona, but stumped with picking a species for him, but a shark could probably fit for him. I'm curious if what species fit perfectly for him =]

(He's definitely a towering one, but very intimidating... so I'll probably do some sketches of him if I find any species if it's perfect for him.)

earlier this year I sewed myself a clown suit, and now Id like to make a partial to wear it with!! i’ve been struggling to decide on the species.. I don’t want to go too basic with just a dog 😭 but definitely something cute.. here’s some pictures of my concepts i’ve drawn up so far, as well as my clown suit!! I also haven’t totally finalized the markings, so any input/critique/ideas are super welcome!!

I have a bat truesona, but I’d just like to know what people think. I love the light academia aesthetic and striped items, as well as anything purple or space-themed. They/them please, I am not a woman.

I'm usually more of a silent reader here, but I really need some design tips!

I have a small problem with my Fursona and his markings . I have him since 2018 and never really finished the design (not even in my head). The problem is: I'm going to Eurofurence next week (first furry convention! :D) and I'm making little plushies for me and a friend of mine. While I started with his plushie, I remembered, that If I want to do my Fursona too, I should know how I want him to look like!

The sad thing is: Normally, I have no problem designing my own characters, but since Penta is an old character and means a lot to me, I just can’t bring myself to redesign him. On the other hand, his design is a little too simple for my taste. A few months ago, I was working on a new reference sheet and showed it to my friend, who’s just gotten into the furry community. He showed me his fursona, which was designed by another artist, and oh my gosh… it’s so much more interesting than my dragon’s design.

So after fighting with myself for way to long, I simply want to ask you guys: What kind of markings would be nice? what would you change? Do you have any tips for designing something so special and important for yourself?

I'm pretty nerdy and I LOVE Marvel comics and movies (and shows.) I'm also really tall, 5'10 (tall at least for a 15 year old girl) and I'm lowk really lanky 😭 I have muscles a little because I used to MMA but im anemic now so im not as strong 😅 it doesn't show well on this picrew but I have kinda thick eyebrows and big eyelashes, also a lip piercing (spider bites.) I also love music and swimming so much. I'd like to either by a dj or marine biologist one day. Anyways, if anyone could give me some animal ideas, that would be great, thanks!!!

Thank you to everyone who helped me decide on her wool pattern and I thought I'd post her finished design to show everyone how she turned out, she is a simple character but I honestly do prefer my characters to be simple so later on I can design cute detailed outfits that can express more of her personality! She is technically a redesign of a three or four year old character Of mine who I thought deserved an upgrade!

In the future I plan on making her into a unique style of fursuit by making a fluffy body suit, hooves and paws all at the length shown in her reference sheet to wear with her head and a white bodysuit underneath to mimic her shorn wool on her biceps and legs, I'm undecided on if I should put padding in her bodysuit to make her wool appear thicker but that would be a decision for the future!

Ive included a lot of picrews plus a ponytown sprite and moodboard at the end!

I like ballet, playing piano ,antique shopping and old ghosts movies. Guardians of Ga'hoole had me in a chokehold as a kid (still kinda does lol). My favorite colors are dark green, brown,black and cream I am a INFP. I let my heart speak before my brain and that is a good thing sometimes. I am a homebody most of the time. I prefer cooler weather, especially when it rains. Some animals I like are cats, birds (especially owls and swans) , bunnies, moths/butterflies and deer.
