Looking for German penpals!🇩🇪🇺🇸

Hello I’m 19 year old girl, that is Pennsylvania Dutch (Pennsilfaanisch Deitsch in our dialect) which is just a German group which settled in primarily Pennsylvania. We are most well known for our Amish communities. I would like to find someone who would like to speak German with me so I can practice and work on my standard German as I only often speak Pennsylvania Dutch.

I am a huge history lover, I love folk music, culture, traditions. I also really enjoy crafts such as yarn spinning, knitting, lace making, sewing, and much more. Feel free to message me if anyone is interested in being friends or writing letters

Deutsche Übersetzung:

Hallo!

Questions for teachers or other paras

Hi everyone! I was recently hired as a paraprofessional in a high school life skills classroom. I have quite a bit of experience working with children with special needs, but this will be my first time in this specific role.

I was curious from a teacher's perspective what are the biggest things you wish every para knew or did? What makes a paraprofessional a great addition to your classroom? I'd love to hear any advice, expectations, or little things that make a big difference. Thanks you!!

Looking for sheet music

Hello I’m looking for the song “Германец объявил войну”/“ой боже мой боже” same song just sometimes the title changes a little I’ve noticed. I’m looking for sheet music or if anyone knows where I could find this song it’s so beautiful I’d love to play it.

Here’s a link to the song I’m looking for and maybe some others will enjoy the sounds of folk music they haven’t heard yet

Sheet music help

Now this is probably a stupid question but I can’t really figure it out and I’ve been sitting on it for awhile now so thought I’d ask a new set of eyes for some help. For reference I’m not the best sheet music reader but I have a basic knowledge. Each time I read those two highlighted notes the first one being what I think is D/F and E/C notes and I’d play the D and F at the same time and then play E and C next. but everytime I play the same time I doesn’t sound like the song it sound incorrect. So I was curious if this was a me reading music badly or me just playing it wrong or both

I feel like I don’t see enough talk on here so I’m curious, what started you to play the accordion? And what is your favorite song/genre? I’ll go first, my favorite song is «рідна мати моя» (my dear mother) and «Прощальное танго» (farewell tango) I love Eastern European folk music it’s my favorite genre of all time! And the reason I started playing accordion was because it played a huge part in my early childhood my great grandparents were huge polka fans and I’ve just kinda fell in love ever since. I started playing in 2022 it was an impulse buy on eBay lol

Hello, I’m learning Greek currently but I’m also an accordionist. Any suggestions for Greek folk songs or Greek folk that has an accordion. Any and all answers are helpful, thank you!
