When I played it, I didn't even expect it to be a mate. It came like a shock.

Jango, Ms Goldenweek and Usopp seem to all have devil fruit powers without having eaten a devil fruit: Ms Goldenweek can change people's personalities, everything Usopp says becomes reality, regardless how absurd it is and Jango can put people to sleep, change their strength and rewrite their memories (maybe he's eaten multiple God-Shrooms. Jango upscale confirmed!).

The source of their power must've come from a special kind of mushroom: the God-Shroom. Devil fruits are known to taste horrible and we know that Jango and Usopp have eaten horribly tasting mushrooms. And mushroom hunting is a weird hobby for such a serious guy, like Crocodile, if there wasn't more behind it. Since Ms Goldenweek was part of his Baroque works it's fair to say that she has eaten a God-Shroom as well.

And the God part comes from their consumers not partaking in a deal with the devil, by which you have to give sacrifices. God-Shroom consumers get god powers with no downsides after all.

Also, Oda does not choose his colors at random, so he hinted at them having the God-Shroom connection by their blue-white striped attires .

Remember back on when Shiryu was saving Blackbeard's life after getting attacked by Magellan? Shiryu was never the kind of person to feel empathy for others, let alone pirates, but he was notorious for his cruelty towards them – or so is the official propaganda narrative we can't trust. It's just like the Loki situation. Something isn't adding up.

He wasn't jailed for cruelty against the cruel pirates, because why would the government care about that, when they have a history of genocides. No, he was jailed for having been outed to be an undercover agent, who's working with Shanks. Why Shanks specifically? Because of their treatment of Blackbeard.

There's a deeper underlying reason why Shiryu needed Blackbeard specifically to stay alive. It is the same reason Shanks told Whitebeard to stop Ace from pursuing Blackbeard – It wasn't to protect Ace, but to protect Blackbeard. Based on his deep knowledge of the ancient history and Maryjoa's secrets, he needs Blackbeard to stay alive for a bigger purpose. (e.g. Killing Imu, Releasing Davy Jones, etc. we don't know).

Now to Shamrock: We can assume that Shanks and Shamrock work together to some extent based on the Marineford war: We have been officially told that Shanks was fighting Kaido to prevent him to interfering in that war. But at the same time, Shanks himself was in Marineford. The timing could only work, if

Shamrock has been the one fighting Kaido.

Shamrock-Shiryu connection: Shiryu turned out to have some top secret information about the whereabouts of the Fishman island road poneglyph. He for some reason knows that someone from the government took it. Fully knowing that it's Shamrock. He is the man marked by flames. The first time we've seen Shamrock going through the abyss, his surroundings were MARKED BY FLAMES. Shiryu could only know, if they're allies!
