Messed up my machine please help! Singer 401a

I cleaned the old grease off the cylindrical part and applied new grease and added grease to the grease points and I added oil to the oil points (white lily) grease - (superlube) and now it’s seizing up on me and barely wants to see through anything. Really freaking worried!! It sewed amazing before this and sewed through like 7 layers of denim perfectly. What have I done 😭 please help.

My first vintage machine secured singer 401A

Works super smoothly. Only thing is it’s missing the thread holders. And also it didn’t come with a manual. I’ll get one and a service manual to learn how to clean and oil it myself. I want to get into corsetry and heavy denim work so I’m hoping this will be my machine for a long long time 😊 I also want to get a case or cover for it to protect it from dust, if anyone has any tips or tricks or links to your favorite accessories or feet let me know! I need to get a walking foot for it

Just acquired a singer 401A in perfect working condition. What do I need to know?

The gears are a little lengthy, but other than that it’s in perfect working condition. Are there any particular maintenance besides oiling that I need to know this is my first all metal machine and my first vintage machine. I should just say it’s one of the first machines I’ve ever bought lol. I’m new to sewing. There is a place local to me that does service these machines but I wanna make sure that I take care of this machine so that it can last for a very long time so please let me know if you know of any tips and tricks! Thanks!

Advice on machine for corset making, but with a zig zag stitch

Hello! So I’m new to sewing and recently purchased the brother cs7000x computerized machine. I love how easy it is to thread and how it doesn’t even let you sew if the presser foot isn’t down, however I bought this machine because it was recommended for versatility but I’m starting to question that. I haven’t even sewn denim yet just cotton jersey and some non stretch fabric and even with the proper needle for stretch fabric, the feed dogs won’t feed the fabric through on seam points. I continually have to adjust the presser foot and hand crank. Due to this not being thick fabric at all, I don’t feel confident in its corset making ability. If anyone had any recommendations for a sewing machine that I can grow with that can handle thick denim garment work, and corset making with steel boning, but also can handle stretch fabrics please let me know! And if that doesn’t exist just let me know 😅

TL;DR: I have a brother cs7000x. I don’t think it’s up for making corsets with boning or heavier denim work like I anticipated. I need recs for a sewing machine that’s strong enough for serious garment and corset work but versatile for stretch fabrics and lingerie that I can grow with. The top of my budget is $600 max

Need help with heavily hairy and dog smelling pleather couch.

So I got a $100 couch off of Facebook marketplace place. It’s a leather sectional. Some cat scratches but looked good for $100. Anyway I go to pick it up and it smells SO BAD of dog and is COATED with dog hair. I’m allergic😅. Anyway I’ve been vacuuming it with my kenmore which gets out all the hair although a long process. I then used my kenmore wet vac on all the fabric parts. The whole thing is plastic and polyester. After all this though it still smells like dog. I don’t know what to do. I really want to be able to use this couch but if I can’t get it clean and not smelling of dog I can’t use it. I’ve also sprayed it down and wiped with hypoclorous acid. Right now I have baking soda sitting on it. I’ve never cleaned something like this so I guess I just need advice on tools or products to use. Feeling overwhelmed.
