I Got My Guru -And It’s Final, The search ended the day I met him, everything since is just living with that truth.
have found my guru. However he is, whoever he is, he is my guru. Have you found yours, or are you still searching?
My search ended in 2006, at The Times of India building/Stock Exchange in South Mumbai India, when I met Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev along with Swami Udhwa (a Brahmachari we lovingly call Swamiji) from the Isha Foundation, and an Isha teacher named Namat. That day, the quest for a guru was over for me.
Since then, life has not been perfect. Many times I have not followed my simple yoga practices. I live a family life. I even drink socially. Yet, deep within, I carry a quiet certainty, I have a guru. I know him. Perhaps he knows me personally, perhaps not, but I am sure he is with me.
I don’t always speak about him. But I am biased toward my guru. Wherever I see something said against him, a loose talk, an unpleasant remark, I instinctively jump in to defend. I know my guru does not need my defense, or anyone’s. Still, it happens, unknowingly, from a place of love and loyalty.
With self-satisfaction, I know this truth in my heart, I have my personal Guru. And that is enough.
