I am now discarding my previous algorithm

Based on the feedback, I’ve now scrapped the previous scanning algorithm and deleted just over 3,000 lines of C# code. I’m currently designing a better, completely new algorithm and will implement it over time. My goal is a faster system, better file recognition, and higher quality. Modern games have a file pipeline so that the localizer can clearly identify which files can be translated. My algorithm can do that too, but if this pipeline doesn’t exist, it’s harder to find the right files. I’m trying to improve this with the new algorithm so that files can be extracted faster, more reliably, and with greater automation.

I have a question for you

I'm currently developing a video game translation program to make localizers' work easier and to help them. I'd be interested to know what takes up the most time in your work. And I'm also interested in what you think about tools like these.

I'm currently developing a game and mod localizer. Are you interested in my project? Feel free to ask questions and share your feedback with me.

With this program, you can cost-effectively translate entire video games and/or mods into multiple languages simultaneously in a matter of seconds to minutes. Even large games with 500,000 words can be translated into multiple languages for less than 20 euros. All the user has to do is enter the file path of the game file and specify the output folder, and you’ll have your game in Russian, Mandarin, Polish, German, or any other language. There’s a cloud-based translation option that runs through my server and a local translation method directly on your computer. The cloud-based translation offers the highest quality. If you’re unsure about a translation, you can review everything in a correction bar and translate it manually if you wish. There are also many more features. If everything goes smoothly, an initial release is possible in just under 3 weeks. You can also translate game mods. And it accepts a wide variety of file types, not just JSON formats. Thanks to its affordable price, the program is also well-suited for people who want to play an indie game they’ve purchased in their own language, provided the developer hasn’t released the game in your language. The user interface is still in German, but it will be available in multiple languages by the time of release.

Menschenrechte statt rechte Menschen

What was the worst software you've ever used, and why?

I'm wondering what the worst software you've ever used or tested was, and why it was so bad. Maybe it was the user interface, a lack of user-friendliness, an update, or something else. I'm asking so we can improve it, and I'd really appreciate your feedback. Best regards

What is the worst program you've used or tested here for your work?

I’d be interested to know which tool you’ve used in the past that was so bad you stopped using it. Was it a bad update, the user interface, an ugly design, missing features, or something else? Did it get that bad after an update, or did you just try it out once? I’d appreciate your feedback so we can learn from it and improve in the future. Best regards

Patch Notes – Weekly Update 25.06.26 Desktop Feed Aggregator Progress Update

This week's work focused primarily on stability, diagnostics, and system monitoring.

Changes:

* Fixed several bugs in the user interface and navigation

* Improved handling of temporary tabs

* Restored and improved feed filters

* Revised heatmaps for inactivity

* Added statistics for GPU and Wi-Fi usage

* Added optional bar chart modes for system load

* Improved scaling and labeling of diagnostics

* Updated the statistics database

* Removed old diagnostic systems and leftover transition code

Currently, I am focusing on system diagnostics, and after that, the note-taking feature will be improved.

The long-term goal is to create an anonymous news aggregator for web articles and social media for real-time news monitoring.

I am currently developing a cross-platform news/OSINT aggregator for analysts

At some point, I got tired of constantly switching back and forth between RSS, websites, Telegram, and social media.

That’s why I’m currently developing a desktop aggregator that lets you create cross-platform feed groups.

If you follow hundreds of sources, everything should eventually be organized in one place:

• Feed groups

• RSS

• Filters

• Notes

• Statistics

• Monitoring/analysis mode

No ads. No algorithms. No accounts.

I’d be interested to know: How do you currently organize large numbers of sources?
