My husband passed recently.

Hi, I’m new. To reddit, to this whole other world. So I honestly thought this was a place to share stories with your friends or acquaintances… Maybe, I thought I wouldn’t be alone in my despair. It does feel nice to finally share my story with you all.

My husband was very sweet. He didn’t do much in regard to being alone, but when he was with me—it was a different person entirely. His whole world lit up, ears opened to listen to whatever I had to talk about. He was a silent brooding type, but it was so cute when I would catch him. He would blush and turn away from me, only to look at me with his soft and endearing eyes. Seeing his eyes…

His eyes held so much emotion and I knew he wanted to tell me something, but I never got the chance to. I always wanted to leave with him. To be away from this place. Never got that chance. So here I am now. A lonely widow with my child and a hope that Craig comes back to me.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that I appreciate this sub.

Most of the mainstream discussion subs I'm in centered around fictional media and feminism (I'm not naming any names; y'all probably know) tend to lean anti and most of the "*fiction affects reality*" and "*enjoying shota/lolicon media literally makes you a pedophile*" arguments (conflating pedophiles and sex predators) get a ton of upvotes.

r/proshipping got banned because it was unmoderated (thanks for fucking off without appointing replacements, mods) and r/ProshipClub literally had a minor at the helm so I'm hoping this one stays for a long time.

Thanks for making a safe space for people who can actually tell the difference between fiction and reality, mods.
