Do you take your meds later if you have evening activities?

I always take me medicine around 8:00-8:00am but I have evening dance rehearsals sometimes so l decided to take it later to get through the classes (I really have to focus). However by the time I take my medicine I am already exhausted (getting my child ready, dropping to nursery and back) and then I am tired in the evening.
Not sure if I should keep the same time or just accept it that I won't be that fresh during classes..?.

I have been on 36mg of Xaggitin XL for the last 3 months (still in titration) and I have two days to make a decision: 27mg + 5 or Elvanse. I took a break from 36mg today and honestly can’t notice any difference apart from a constant thinking about having food and water while medicated.

Female 42

I’ve been on methylphenidate XL 36ml for a few months (still in titration) and I feel like it’s a very inconsistent medicine. Sometimes I feel very tired all day and much better (normal) in the evening when the meds probably wear off.

My clinician offered me either of lower dose 27mg and 5mg of booster (medikinet) or Elvanse.

I could try Elvanse earlier but I was worried about side effects. But perhaps I was wrong?

What bothers me is:

- appetite suppression? (I am very hungry on methylphenidate but if I don’t eat I feel very bad. I am also naturally very thin 48kg)

- taking the meds very early in morning: how can I force myself to eat breakfast that early

- Problems with sleep (I have a little child)

- Crashing in the afternoon (I start my job in the afternoon and have to be in a good condition in the evening sometimes)
