My peace Lily's leaf tips seems burnt. How to fix them?

My peace Lily's leaf tips seems burnt. How to fix them?

Newbie here. Bought my first set of plants a couple days ago and peace lily was one of them.

The flowers had these holes when I bought them. These burnt leaves on the left image seem new and don't seem to go off. I have them placed near my NW facing window. My apartment doesn't get sunlight at all but some indirect sunlight. I'm not sure what's causing this. Any advice on how to pick this please?

Please recommend some Grow lights for a newbie

Location - Chennai.

I have always enjoyed plants and gardening, haven't had the chance to grow in a space that supported it.

Recently moved to Chennai from Bangalore and decided to grow indoor plants. Bought Pothos and a peace lily to begin with. At the nursery I was told that they don't need much light and that they will thrive. As I see in this and other subreddits, I am getting a feeling maybe I was wrong and they need more light.

My apartment is on the 1st floor and is surrounded by apartments on both sides so that I do not get any direct sunlight at all. Only indirect sunlight and I want my plants to thrive. I'm thinking of getting some grow light. But, the ones I see in the forum are too expensive. Since I am a newbie I want to first try with some basic light and see the results before I spend too much. I just bought the plants yesterday and here is where I have kept them. I have also posted a picture of window in the comments. I have moved it there just for a little better light. Please advise on how to take care of them and should I get grow lights.

Indoor plant growth light. Do they really work?

Sorry if the question is dumb. I'm a newbie, just bought my first ever plant pothos and peace lily yesterday. Posted here in the sub for advice and I was told that it needs more light.

The problem is my apartment is on the first floor and surrounded by a towering apartment, that I don't receive any natural light at all. So, I'm planning to get some plant growth lights (only if they actually work). So, anyone who has used these lights, can you share some advice and tips please.

I'm a newbie, tell me how to look after my very first plants (indoor) please

I have always loved plants since I was a kid. Never had the courage to buy them because of my laziness and unaware of how to look after them properly. Finally, at 30 years of age now decided to put in the effort and bought two tiny plants 1. Money plant 2. Peace lily.

I just put them in their place and OMG it feels so gooodddd!! I had terrible stress, pressure and anxiety for the past couple of months, just starting doing some changes to make my general life better and it already feels so great. I regret not having indoor plants all these years.

Could you please share some advice on how to look after them? I have zero knowledge on this topic but am ready to learn. The People at the nursery told me to water when the top soil is bone dry and to water until the excess water leaks from the base. And to take the plants back to them every 2 months for some service (sand and fertilizer change something they said). Is that enough or what should I do exactly?

They receive indirect sunlight all day and also, does plant growth light actually work? In my smart bulb, I actually have "plant growth" light. Is this real or just a gimmick?

How to deal with stress?

I turned 30 last November. I have been going through health issues that require medication for almost a year now and have to continue for a few more months. It has something to do with my digestion, so I am naturally tired and require a lot of nutritious and healthy eating to function normally. I am still addicted to porn, and I struggle with letting go of the past problems. These problem still makes me anxious, stress and overthink. I have severe health anxiety and I'm always jumping from one health anxiety to another. I have a huge financial responsibility for a housing loan I bought for my parents and that's really stressful too. Work is also very hectic lately, demanding that I work for 15 hours or more a day (Corporate company in India).

I used to workout regularly until my college and I was doing great physical and mental health wise. It's only when I started working, I had to go through a ton of health, financial, work and family issues, I completely stopped looking after myself. Now, with this health issue I get tired really easily and am not able to go to the gym or run. I can walk or cycle for 15 to 20 mins. But, I'm not finding time with office work. I understand that I have to tackle problems one by one. But honestly, I'm overwhelmed at the moment to even think through clearly to arrive at a logical decision.

I also got married recently and am going to be a father soon. I don't want to be like this around my kid. I want to be the best version of myself. I have been advised by my doctor to try yoga and meditation, i haven't given it a try yet

What should I do to get better? What would you advise.

Should I upskill for DE or move to a senior DA role?

Hi All,

I have 9.5 YOE, out of which 4 was in ops and 5 as Data Analyst in one of the MAANG companies that's notorious for layoffs.

I want to transition into DE role now. But my tech stack is very limited SQL, Tableau and some Python and Pyspark. Not enough to crack DE, as I was told.

I have moved teams, cities and states working for the company. I have worked all 9 years in the same company and almost all of my friends have left along the way. I happened to join this through a campus placement for a customer service role. Over the course of time, I upskilled and became DA.

My doubt is, we are at the height of layoffs, scrutinity, coaching plan issues, career growth stagnation here in my company. This is not the culture or company I remember working for 7 years ago. I'm just staying because of the comfort zone and it's starting to affect my growth i guess.

What should I do? 1. Try to become a Senior DA and try for DE inisde or 2. upskill and try for DE outside or 3. just switch because 9.5 YOE in one company is so long.

What would you suggest? Looking for some suggestions to think this through and take a solid decision.

How to transition from Data Analyst to DE

Hey guys,

I have been a DA at one of the top MNCs for over 5 years now. I have switched a couple teams over the years and have mostly worked on SQL and Quicksight only (My company just runs on AWS services). I have done a couple of hypothesis testing and RAG model testing in the past.

I have come to realise that I really enjoy coding (db related - SQL, Pyspark, Python) and hate dashboard and stuff. I want to transition to DE now. But, I do not know Data Structures, I have worked on python and pyspark in the past and have forgotten them. I can still refer and get any projects done without using AI. I know how to do ETL to some extent.

What should I learn to get myself career ready for DE in india?
