not allowed to dispense an order if you prepped it?

i’ve been working for nearly 2 months now and have seen dispensers prepping orders and immediately taking it out afterwards, especially if it is the top order by the time it’s ready. so i’ve been doing this as well with no issues or thinking anything of it. yesterday, someone asked me and a group of 2-3 other people standing nearby if you could dispense the same order that you prepped, because someone told him he couldn’t. we all shrugged and were confused because none of us heard of such a thing and have been doing it, so he continued to do it as well. fast forward to today, a team lead (she’s new) asked me if i had prepped the order that i was bringing out because i wasn’t supposed to, and i said yes, because i didn’t know it was a rule. i honestly forgot about what that interaction i had with that other coworker yesterday anyway. does anyone else’s store have this rule? is this actually a thing? i just can’t imagine our other team leads not saying anything to anyone for this long if it is. i couldn’t find anyone else talking about it on here. and what even is the point of the rule?

is there ANY place on the west coast that’s even remotely affordable?

my girlfriend and i are renting a 2 bedroom (we need our own rooms) apartment in michigan for around $875/mo. we are very aware that a lot of areas are not that cheap. but when we have looked into relocating to the west coast, anything under $1,200 is basically unheard of, and i’m starting to wonder if the idea of moving there is just massively unrealistic. we are 21 and 20 with entry level jobs, also considering college options but unfortunately most schools have some sort of living on campus requirement. growing up i loved the idea of living in southern california for the atmosphere (i’m a big social butterfly), but in recent years have also grown fond of the idea of the pacific northwest. it is just so beautiful there!

thank you for any thoughts and sorry this is all over the place :)

edit: it kind of slipped my mind that the minimum wages out west are going to be higher so i am a bit less concerned now, but still appreciate all the recommendations. thank you everyone!!

i’ve been working in online grocery for around a month and i’m starting to see that more illnesses are spreading around. because of this, i may want to start wearing a mask soon. i always prefer N95 masks because they’re the most effective, but now i’m remembering something from orientation about having to sign some sort of form to be allowed to wear an N95 mask? can someone that remembers this let me know what the deal with that is? thank you!

i kept seeing posts on here of more and more stores implementing this rule. but i also saw some people say their stores weren’t gonna do it— or at least are only required to pull around corners/etc. i guess i was just really hoping it wouldn’t happen here but it did 💔 no one is safe!!! if it hasn’t happened at your store yet, it’s probably a matter of time

it wasn’t as bad as i thought at first, but as the cart got heavier… ouch. hopefully for the sake of all of us, this will end soon

(scribbles over the faces of the people in the example pics bc idk who they are and if the images are public or not)

hi. i moved recently and so i started with a new therapist couple weeks ago. at this point, she does not know much about me because everything has been intake so far and i feel like a lot of it had to do with my history and not as much what i struggle with and who i am now. during both sessions we’ve had so far, she mentioned that most people diagnosed with as many things as me don’t actually have all of them. especially since i was diagnosed with 3 in a hospital, she questions me having all of them, without even knowing me enough to have reasonable suspicions. she put me through an incredibly long personality test that took up most of my session yesterday and i won’t know the results until my next session 2 weeks from now but she seems to think that this will help her understand which disorders i actually have, i guess.

my biggest question is, is it really THAT unlikely for someone who’s diagnosed with 6 disorders to have all 6 of them? i know that people do get misdiagnosed a lot, especially in hospitals, but i personally have never disagreed with my diagnoses and don’t see why she’s so adamant about proving i don’t have them all. she’s claimed that most people with my diagnoses will not have them all.

my combination is generalized anxiety, autism, ADHD, borderline, major depressive disorder, and PTSD.

the first 3 i was diagnosed with testing when i was young and i don’t see how i wouldn’t have any of them. the last 3 were diagnosed in a hospital and i do realize a lot of times labels just get slapped on in that setting, but i’ve done research especially into BPD and very much resonate with it. i also have childhood trauma which explains the PTSD. MDD would be the only one i’d maybe question because i know people can have depression without specifically having MDD.

additionally, i highly suspect that i have OCD especially since a recent “flare-up” in symptoms these past few weeks that i’ve been really struggling with. but now i feel like i can’t even bring that up to her to explore when she already thinks i can’t possibly have 6.

anyway, back to my big question, is it really THAT unlikely for someone to have these 6 disorders?
