It started as a 3D model and went through printing, assembly and a lot of painting before becoming the finished piece. I recorded the whole process.

I’ve just launched Palisade Stronghold, a new Kickstarter featuring a fully modular wooden fort designed for 28–32 mm tabletop RPGs and wargames.
The system lets you build anything from a small frontier outpost to a massive fortified settlement. Mix and match palisade walls, towers, gates, platforms, stairs, and buildings to create a unique layout for every adventure.
All models are optimized for support-free 3D printing, making them easy to print on both FDM and resin printers.
This project was actually inspired by my community—over the past months, many backers asked if I would ever create a modular palisade system. So here it is!

I just finished working on my new personal project – Palisade Stronghold. It’s a fully modular wooden fort system designed for tabletop RPGs and wargames (D&D, Pathfinder, Frostgrave, OPR, etc.).
The idea was to make it truly modular, so you can mix and match walls, towers, gates, stairs, and platforms to build anything from a tiny outpost to a massive settlement.

I wanted to show you my latest project. Everything you see here is 100% my own work – from the initial 3D design and modeling, through 3D printing, all the way to building the terrain and painting every single detail.
My own design: I sculpted the buildings, the cobblestone street, and the tree from scratch.
Hand-painted: I spent hours on the details, including the weathered wood effect, colorful roofs, and adding all the custom vegetation.

A handcrafted modular medieval fantasy city designed entirely by me for tabletop RPGs and wargaming.
Everything visible in this scene was created from scratch, including the buildings, cobblestone streets, terrain tiles, trees, flower decorations, and environmental details.
Gildengrund is an ongoing project focused on creating a living fantasy city that can grow district by district, street by street.
