Drivers, what days and time slots actually pay off for you? been tracking mine and the results surprised me

curious what everyone swears by. set days, lunch vs dinner, late nights, weekends? everyone’s got a theory.

I actually built a little tool to track my own sessions and work out my real hourly rate per slot, and honestly some times I thought were solid turned out to be a waste once fuel and tax came out. others surprised me the other way.

so keen to hear yours, drop your best days/times below and if anyone wants to check their own real numbers per slot I’m happy to share the tool, just comment or dm me. it’s free, still in test, just after honest feedback.

Thought I made AU$1,961 last week. My real net was AU$1,606. and my actual hourly rate wasn’t what I thought either

made AU$1,961 gross one week on uber eats. felt like a good week.

then I actually did the maths. after fuel and tax my real net was AU$1,606, so basically 18% gone before I even count my fixed costs. and my real rate came out at AU$23/h, not the AU$28/h the gross made it look like.

most of us never do this. we see the gross and assume it’s fine.

so I built a tool that does it for you. punch in your numbers and it shows your real net, your true hourly rate, your best and worst days. built for aussie drivers rn (AUD, local platforms).

free, still rough, just after honest feedback. how many of you actually know your real hourly rate after everything?

made a free tool for drivers to see what they actually make after costs. roast it

been driving a while and honestly I never really knew what I was making per hour once you take out fuel, tax, all that. you see the gross number and think nice, but that’s not what you keep.
so I made a tool that shows your real net, your actual hourly rate, your best and worst days. fair warning it’s built for aussie drivers rn (AUD, local platforms) so it fits best if ur in australia, but happy to hear what any driver thinks of the idea.
it’s free and still rough, that’s why I’m here. tell me what’s useful, what’s missing, what’s useless. if you reckon the whole thing is pointless say that too, I’d rather know now.
if u wanna try it or tear it apart just comment or dm me 👌

I was tired of not knowing my real hourly income, so I built something

I’ve been delivering for a while now, and there’s one thing that’s always bothered me. I never really knew how much I was making after gas, taxes, and all the hidden costs.

So, I created a little tool that calculates your actual earnings your real net profit, your true hourly rate, your best and worst days, and what you’re actually left with after expenses.

It’s currently in the testing phase, and I’m looking for honest feedback from real delivery drivers.

What would make a tool like this truly useful for you? What’s missing? What would you never use?

If you think it’s a bad idea, let me know that’s exactly the kind of feedback I need.

I’m not including a link here because I’m not trying to advertise. If anyone wants to test it and give me honest feedback, send me a private message.

I built something for AU delivery drivers and I want you to tear it apart

Over the last few weeks I've been talking to a lot of drivers here, and one thing kept coming up: most of us don't actually know what we really make per hour once you take out fuel, rego, insurance, all of it. We track the gross, not the real number.
So I built a thing to fix that. You log your sessions, it shows you your real net, your true hourly rate, your best and worst days. It's in test phase right now, rough around the edges, and honestly that's why I'm here.
I don't want fake "looks great mate" feedback. I want you to destroy it. Tell me what's wrong, what's missing, what's useless, what's confusing. If you think the whole idea is pointless, tell me that too. I'd rather hear the brutal truth now than build the wrong thing for months.
It's free for testers. No catch, I just need real drivers using it and telling me where it breaks.
If you're keen to test and roast it, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send you the link plus a quick feedback form. Don't hold back.
Cheers.

Any WhatsApp groups for delivery drivers in Australia?

Hey, are there any active WhatsApp groups for delivery drivers here? Looking to connect with other riders, share tips, ask questions etc. I do deliveries myself and would love to be part of a community. Cheers!

Drivers in Australia: do you actually know your real hourly rate after fuel and expenses?

Hey, quick question for Uber Eats / DoorDash / Menulog drivers in Australia.

When you finish a shift, do you actually know what you made per hour after fuel, vehicle wear and tax? Or do you just go off what the app shows you?

Trying to understand if this is something drivers actually care about, or if it’s not really a big deal day-to-day. Genuinely curious, no promo, just research.

Question to Uber Eats / DoorDash drivers in Australia about improving delivery workflow

Hey, I’m researching how delivery drivers in Australia use Uber Eats / DoorDash day-to-day.
I’m trying to understand the main frustrations (order flow, navigation, earnings clarity, etc.).
If you’re a driver, what’s the biggest thing you wish was improved in the apps?
Just doing research, no promo or referral links.
