hey guys, i’m kind of new to reddit so hopefully i do this right. me (F21) and my boyfriend (M21) were dating for three and a half months until today. we had a pretty great relationship on a surface level, we went to events together, hung out most every day, and he got along great with my friends. but behind closed doors there just wasn’t much to it at the end. before we had started dating officially, he would compliment me, bought me a gift for valentine’s day, paid for my food a few times here and there. yknow all that sweet stuff. but as time went on i noticed something, he never, ever complimented me. the most id get is a snapchat saved in chat with no commentary after. obviously this began to hurt my feelings so i asked him, why do you never compliment me? i was immediately met with annoyance and a bit of anger. “but i do! i do compliment you! i don’t know what you’re talking about.” don’t you think i would know if you did or not? so after some time i just let it go and we went to bed not too happy. he complimented me the next day, then it went right back to never (unless i specifically asked if i looked okay). we had the argument again, and again, and again. he eventually got to a point of saying that this was a childish thing to be upset about, that he found it “kind of stupid”. i don’t find it stupid, i find it absurd. if you love your partner is it not just second nature to compliment them? and to be clear, i complimented him ALL THE TIME. on his clothes, his kind doings, his intellect his music and so on. i never got that affection back. and now we are broken up and he doesn’t seem to get why what he did wasn’t enough for me. but i’d told him! i’d told him so many times why this mattered to me, and that i wasn’t being seen or heard or shown that i was cared for. i could not tell you all more than 3 things he liked about me because that was all i ever got out of him. so AITA for breaking up with him over this? he made me feel like im crazy for it and i just don’t know what to do anymore

hey guys! i just recently got back into an animal crossing kick after a few years of only checking in every few months. i just had a villager move out and i’ve been visiting islands to try to find a new one and it’s taking SO LONG. how hard is it usually to run into new villagers or am i potentially doing something wrong (going at wrong times etc) please let me know thanks!
