The most heartbreaking little voice
or about a week my autistic, six year old son has been saying, 'Momma, Dadda kiss.' Over and over again. Up until a year ago he was completely non-verbal. My wife and I still live in the same house but have been strangers for about a year, we haven't been intimate or even affectionate for at least that long. We both deserve better than who each other has become. We're friendly roommates at best. And knowing that all my kiddo wants is to see us together makes me weep. I'm brokenhearted over the whole thing, but knowing how it's already affecting him ruins me. I'm TRYING SO HARD to hold on for him but GOD DAMN I've got nothing left.
