I wasn't staying at my place for a few days last week, and the first thing that greeted me when I came back home was this beauty. In general, I own two Alocasia Dragonscale Mints, but this one is definitely my favorite.😍
The first picture is from Sunday evening, and the other was just taken today.
Back in March, I got a Caramel Marble, which was extremely root-bound, through a sad plant mystery box for €39.95. Originally, there was already a basal growth that was established and has since been growing in its own pot.
Now, to the big one: The last leaves of the mother plant were all green, so I decided to take a cutting above the node where the last variegated leaf was. This left me with three nodes that looked quite promising. All the nodes are now growing pretty well, and each one is getting thicker. The best surprise was that the mother plant is now growing six miniature basal growths. Quite a few to choose from now! 😂

Ich wunderte mich, wieso meine Bambino Pink nicht wirklich wachsen will, im Gegensatz zur Bambino Aurea, welche gerne 6-7 Blätter hat. Beide sind tatsächlich noch recht klein. Ich wollte die Pink nur etwas tiefer setzen, da sie sich aus der Erde etwas geschoben hatte, und siehe da, ich habe die Ursache gefunden: Mit allen Rhizom-Ansätzen, die man auf den Bildern kaum erkennt, sind es irgendwas zwischen 12 und 20 Stück.😅
Edit: Wie in einem Kommentar geschrieben, habe ich versehentlich ihren kleinen Topf zertreten 🫠 Ich habe davon, dass ich immer meine Matte auf dem Boden habe, sodass ich entweder alles platt trete oder darüber falle oder beides. 😅 Stand bis vorhin in einem Topf der 5cm im Durchmesser war und 6cm Hoch.
I had quite some luck getting a big Caramel Marble really cheap, with a smaller one growing in the same pot. I decided to separate both, and now the smaller one seems thankful for my decision. Like the big one I chopped two weeks ago, since all new leaves turned out reverted, this small, cute one got one really beautiful leaf.😍
Last week, an online shop ran a sale on most of their plants, so I couldn't resist getting some. 🫣

What surprised me most is that even though they are still small, all except the Black Velvet Aurea are already starting to grow 1-2 corms. 😍

nach langem hatte ich selbst ein Paket, das raus muss, und habe zum ersten Mal eine Paketabholung gebucht.
Normalerweise schleppe ich alles selbst zum nächsten Shop oder zur Packstation, da mich leider die letzten beiden Tage meine Rückenschmerzen wieder plagen und ich deswegen die Treppe schlecht runter- und wieder hochkomme, dachte ich mir: „Hey, lass ich es abholen.“
Tja, habe dann gestern brav gewartet und gegen 16 Uhr kam die Benachrichtigung in der App, die Abholung sei nicht erfolgreich.
Nach einem erstaunlich guten Gespräch mit dem Service Center (dass ich das mal erlebe) wurde es storniert und ich habe mich irgendwie zum nächsten Paketshop geschleppt.
Nun ja, jetzt sehe ich in der App, dass gleich jemand zum Abholen kommt, mit einem Tag Verzögerung, obwohl das storniert wurde.
Kommunikation intern scheint ja sehr gut zu funktionieren. Mal sehen, wer gleich blöder schaut: ich oder der Fahrer 🫠
Ironie ist, dass selbst in dem Shop, wo ich es gestern noch hingebracht habe, gestern nichts abgeholt wurde.🫥
