When his ministers recommended severe laws for the repression of crime, he told them: "If I diminish expenses, lighten the taxes, employ only honest officials, so that the people have clothing enough, this will do more to abolish robbery than the employment of the severest punishments".- Will Durant

reddit.comhad no luck getting syncopated rhythm/backing, anyone got prompt ideas?
if I say ska I get overwrought ska clichés, I don't want the genre itself, I want its logic, I want to be able to apply it to the structure of any genre.
I can't say 'skank' because that's a forbidden word.
if I say, for example with distorted guitars 'chugging on the upbeats, not the downbeats' (example from non-AI music), I will get some chugging style guitar notes, but always on the downbeats, too, like death metal.
I can say syncopated, and it comes out not syncopated.
I can say dub or polka or polska, but like with ska it ends up excessively zany in every other element instead of just giving me the note placement where I want it for one instrument.
I tried asking Gemini, which usually pretty good insight, but none of its ideas have worked. it's as if Suno just doesn't get it. and it seems so masterful and intuitive for 99% of stuff.
it also seems pretty impossible to get real black metal guitar work, as if their model just somehow didn't bother to train of anything like Carpathian Forest or Batushka LOL. you'd think they'd have ripped o*clears throat* studied...learned from...the top 100 in every genre, right?
anyone got any bright ideas? anything work successfully when you try it?
I'm starting to think I might have to reinstall FL Studio and create a template to upload for it to work from.
is 'Custom Model' just Inspo x24 instead of x4?
have just tested out the new '100 credits' feature, and so far the results just sound like 'inspo' mode to me.
I put in 6 fairly similar versions, hoping I could hone in on a type of sound and make more songs in that genre, but instead all it does is give me back basically the same song just like cover and inspo do (I had originally hoped inspo would differ from cover in giving you much more 'weirdness', so that maybe you could get a whole new sounding song...but no, it's always a painfully derivative abomination)
so, the only value Custom seems to have right now is that maybe if I add 20 more very different tracks I can get it to work from a broader framework and be a little more original ... but also become more difficult to keep within the borders of the sound I want.
anyone found it helpful?
