I’m in seminary and just took the preaching class, so my pastor (DOC) asked if I’d be willing to fill in when she’s out of town this weekend! Very excited and terrified.

It’s on 1 Corinthians 7:17-24 and is about God knowing what God is looking for when we’re called to a relationship. We’re not being asked to erase ourself or change ourselves before answering God’s call. Just answer the call, and let the Holy Spirit handle any transformations. Just come as you are.

The current idea stuck in my head is a mass shooting at a grocery store or something , a lot of deaths, including the shooter at the end being taken down my cops. Then it turns out- the shooter is the visionary. He’s so shaken by what he saw that he doesn’t go through with it, and no one has any ideas they were in danger. Which makes it a lot harder to piece things together when random people from all walks of life begin meeting unfortunate accidents. Someone finally puts it together that everyone was at the store on the same day, at the same time, and then they have to figure out *why* those people are dying. Meanwhile, the visionary has no clue it’s happening, he stays in his basement or lives in a different town. Something like that.

I finally got the diagnosis at 51 years old! I mean, I would’ve been surprised if I hadn’t, but it just feels good to have something to back it up on paper. Autism spectrum disorder with Level 1 support needs (although she said I was pretty much in the middle and could’ve gone 1 or 2, so I’ll just say 1.5)

I have no idea what I’m going to do with this information going forward. But for now I’m just going to celebrate the validation.
