My 6yr old has her first crush

She watched the first Harry Potter movie (she's heard the first 4 in audio book form) and she told me after the second time watching it that she had something to tell me that I might laugh at. She said she fell in love with someone in the movie, after some suspense she told me who. She fell in love with Snape.

I didn't laugh! I just asked her what she liked about him and all she can say is "I like the way he is" she draws pictures of her and Snape holding hands smiling and she's currently dressed all in black with a cape and saying she's Snape's wife.

This is so cute and funny but part of me wonders what I'm in for when she hits her teens!

No water in tube, did I do this right?

The larva is getting bigger!

The water was gone from the tube, I connected another tube with water to the original tube with gift wrap tape to connect them and wrapped the new tube in foil. I have the original tube in the light. (2nd pic, sorry about the busy background)

She is apparently not in a hurry to move, she occasionally walks in there and back out. There are no air holes so I'm hoping she will move before I have to figure out getting her air without disturbing her much.

She has 3 bigger larvae and one that is 1/8 of the size of the bigger ones. How many workers does she need before I can attach the tube to this little box? (3rd Pic)

Butternut squash recipes?

My picky eater was feeling adventurous and chose a butternut squash at the store and wants to try them.

What are your best squash recipes that won't scare her off of trying another random veggie next time?

She doesn't like too much "sauce" or finding bits in something like yogurt.

She also chose an acorn squash the next store trip of you have ideas for that, I have been sitting on the butternut for longer though.

We have eggs! Is the water ok?

We have a few eggs and are excited! Should I be concerned that the water dropped this much? It had no air behind the cotton 2 weeks ago.

recovered file disappeared?

My computer restarted itself and I had an unsaved recording that popped up as a "recovered file" but then it seemed like Audacity restarted itself and now I can't find the recording. Is it recoverable?

Can we keep it?

We found this big ant in the back yard (northern Utah) and my 4yr old fell in love with it. She named it and is currently trying to build it a house with magnet tiles...

How hard would it be to start a real home for this ant? I'm assuming it's a queen because we usually don't see and this size.

I would love to make this a fun educational project if it's not too costly.

These holes are in two separate locations in my yard, they were not there a few days ago. Any thoughts on what animal might be living here?

There is also gopher activity but these don't seem to be related as there are no dirt hills near by.
