How reliable is Gemini free really? I started working on my own app on car back in March and Gemini helped me build more complex things I didn't understood from basic tutorials, but suddenly chat got worse? I thought dedicating one chat to programming would solve issues like characters, definitions, globals. I can pretty consistntly catch when Gemini starts its lunatic shi and correct it myself, but sometimes it gets weird when it wants me to define something it is already defined in the file. It straight up forgets what we worked on. Would it be better to make separate modules of the app one for a chat or this won't solve issue in the long run? Also I am getting worried that Gemini might be a dead end — I asked free claude the same things: different results. I gave claude gemini's code — „Your code is alright but why did you use Subaru PIDs if you are dealing with Opel?” which utterly blow my mind xD. (I couldn't find some pids, so did Gemini propably and it just made them up).

That's just the way I write and express myself. I like using comas, dots, semilcons etc. It just feels like right thing to do. I got a bit frustrated when someone summoned sleughtbot after my comment. This is they way it is, I won't change how I write as it makes me comfortable. Well. Feels better to say it out loud.

Hello, I have Insignia FL from 2016 with b20dth engine. I had a diesel before and it was fun, but the last car was much older. With this car I am aware, that I have to keep in mind the dpf values (as i already had an accident due to intercooler pipe explosion, filters got very bad and it was a nightmare). I decided to try and monitor some values hidden in the sensors of the car.

I begin working on my own app (I know eg oplmoitor exists, but i wanted to learn something new as I have nonexistent experience with programming) and with turorials and ai I managed to get it to work. But the poblem is - why there are so many PIDs for same things? I got it right after testing codes for like few days. Some values have standard codes like RPM, speed, voltage which yeah, it's useful when calculating *things* (or making the character in app go 'aaaa you're going to kill us!').

Is there any spreadsheet with PIDs so I can just sort it by parameters of my engine and have some easier time or is it all reverse engineering?

Also any easy way to get into CAN or OpelEye and read if car thinks it's day/night?
