I had played a bit handheld earlier, but could not appreciate it truly until I got home and docked my switch 2.
Who ever is complaining has clearly never been forced to endure the switch 1 version only 😂.
Absolutely worth the upgrade for a game I couldn’t bring myself to ever beat because I knew this might come one day. I’m so stoked to play this now. And the option of graphics or performance mode is nice. The textures in performance are still night and day to the switch one version.
As far as I can tell it’s not in the Eshop yet and no store in my area has it listed, except Best Buy…and that’s only shipping. No in store pick up anywhere I see.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I currently drive a 2024 SE, it has no rear air vents. I live where it gets super hot in the summer, so I actually like the cloth seats. But for my family and kids in the back I’ve wondered if going SEL would be worth it when my lease is up. The new SEL’s are back to leather so it’s either rear air vents or cloth as my options.
Curious for those who have them if they have any experience with the rear vents coming in clutch?
For those interested. I test drove two trims of the 26 today and I have some thoughts.
I don’t think it’s like a no-brainer upgrade. I drive a 24 SE and the two things that stood out to me on the 26 SE were a fold down armrest in the backseat, and wireless car play.
The infotainment honestly feels less intuitive to me than the 24 model. And for someone who uses car play most of the time I just don’t need it.
Now the big one you won’t see talked about that I wanted to share…the steering and regenerative braking.
The steering on my 24 is so nice and responsive and the fun kinda stiff. The 26 feels more luxury and floaty. If you’re into that, awesome but my 24 feels very similar to the previous gen CX-5 where you get a really enjoyable ride experience. I feel like the newer steering has lost this spirit. Same with the brakes, iPedal is way more glidey now, but who knows that could have been an oddball situation given the roads I was on.
Anyway, just wanted to share this because I feel like the refresh is not a must have if your lease is ending. It made me think perhaps when my lease ends I’ll look for a 23 or 24 limited in stead of leasing a newer model.
Just my opinion, feel free to tell me I’m wrong 😂
PS of course I know the rear wiper situation too. But I’m with Hyundai, it’s fine without it . 😂
I currently have an Ioniq 5 leased while I was in grad school. With free charging they gave me and a low payment it was worth it.
When my lease is up early next year, I want to get a car that will save me money and head aches in the long run.
I have solar and a home charger, so an EV could be a good option, but electricity rates are still kinda high in California. I think the money works out to being about equal to a gas car getting 65 mpg at current gas prices.
Anyway, I see three viable options.
Buy a lightly used depreciated EV that I hope will last a long time. What do you think though? Will any current EV’s go the distance? T
Buy a new Toyota, like a Camry hybrid or a Prius hybrid or prime (but the primes are crazy expensive at times). The new toyota EV’s seem promising too but I dont know how reliable they will
Be.
But a more heavily used hybrid or plug in hybrid like a ford escape hybrid.
I WOULD PREFER IF I COULD
CHOOSE:
1 to be off the ground in a cross over like my Ioniq 5 currently
2. To stay under 35k if going new, and id probably only want to do this for a toyota. Toyota corolla cross seems compelling but also kinda expensive for the price.
3. Keep the car until I can give it to my kid, they’re currently 3.5 lol so like 12 years.
THANK YOU!
Is there any evidence that 2022-2024 models see a spike in ICCU issues after the free charging runs out? Mine is over in two months so just curious. It feels like we’re seeing more posts about 2025 models popping earlier and I’m curious if that’s because they level 2 charge from day one, where as older models people mainly used their free DC charging?
I used it for some studio shots the other day and felt like it was brilliant being able to use such a light weight lens and have such a broad range. Just made me curious? I’m kind of in a season of challenging myself to get the shot with less amazing gear.
I have a 35 1.4L I’ve been using typically but I do a lot of work with kids and it’s nice to be able to sit and stay put and keep a conversation and not have to move around to zoom. And professional zooms are so expensive.
But am I silly ? Should I get the F4L or the 28-70 2.8L?
As someone who has used most of the RF standard zoom lenses, I’ve loved the form factor of the 28-70 f2.8 and the 24-105 f4-7.1. They’re both 67mm filter size and a good bit thinner than the 24-105 F4L.
It made me wonder could something inbetween the 24-105 non L lens, and the 28-70 exist?
I would really love having 24 on the wide end, but maybe that makes the geometry of a 67mm diameter too challenging even at f4. Any lens engineers out there?
