24v buck converters seem to be mostly the 20 amp variety.

For those of you that have done the 40v conversion, do you find that 20 amps is sufficient to power 2 motors. Everywhere I look it seems that these larger motors can pull >10 amps on start. I plan on using the slow start/stop mod to help this issue, but I am unsure that 20 amps will be enough

Whats the best way to step down a 24v supply and a 12v supply off of an 80v battery? Series or parrallel?

Can I do an 80 volt conversion mod similar to the 40 volt conversion mod?

Looking at a few power wheels dune racers on facebook marketplace. I want something that my kiddo can enjoy for multiple years.

I have seen multiple setups of a 40 volt conversion on these, can this be done with an 80 volt battery and the appropriate converter? I already have a bunch of 80s on hand for my yard tools.

Just looking for something that when all said and done that will have plenty of power and go like 10 mph max when he is ready for that.

Upgrades that I am sure I'll need

Gearboxes (assuming the aftermarket premades will work)

Remote kill switch

Low voltage shut off

Variable speed pedal?

Brake mod (the one that goes under the pedal)

What am I missing?

Maybe some bells and whistles lighting etc... but not worried about that now.

Peg Perego/ Powerwheel weight capacity.

Are there models of either of these brands that can hold about 220 lbs (my weight + toddler). I have an 8 month old and a 2.5 year old and am looking into getting my oldest a ride on.

Looking at these brands as they seem to be the most reliable with the downside of not having a remote control option. So my plan was to drive/ride with my toddler until he got the hang of it. Then next summer he and my youngest can use it together (so 2 seater).

I am pretty handy in DIY so I plan to mod it as they get older so, having something that can be modded would be a plus.

There is currently a 12V Peg Perego gator nearby on marketplace but it seems that capacity is loosely tied to voltage so I don't think that option will work.

Edit: or do these go slow enough that I can just coach from the side.

Looking at offering a trade where I would get Christian Watson by trading Bucky.

Looks like Watson is going to be the #1 in GB, and I don't know if Bucky is going to be as good with Gainwell alongside.

I need some WR help, so that may skew it a bit but I want some help looking at it in strictly a player vs. player comparison.
