I’ve been meaning to post this for a week, picked up a new glove for slow pitch. It’s stiff but there is more palm flex than on the Father’s Day PRO1000T. The retro logo stamping on the thumb and pinky is a nice touch. I’m pretty sure I got the last one on ballgloves.com. This should hold me over until/if another Horween run drops.

I’ve been on a vintage kick recently for project gloves and I am continuously amazed at the variety of web lace patterns their used to be. I really like this one because of the simplicity and ability to adjust tension and pocket depth.

Another project I just finished up. After going back and forth about selling it I decided it will look better on my desk as a fidget glove for long conference calls.

Cleaned up this late 70’sRawlings PG20 Amos Otis signature model for fun. It was my first foray into gloves from the 70’s so it was definitely informative. I got lucky and this one was already in decent condition to start, very dry but nothing was cracking so it just needed a little hydration. A couple coats of Sarna liquid conditioner and a super thin layer of Rhinowax Baseball Glove conditioner to seal it in and the two tone leather rally pops. I went camel on the laces for contrast instead of going with a more original dark tan. The last pic is how I got it.

I hadn’t seen it mentioned before but there is also apparently an 11.5” R2G version. It’s sold out but says “new” on the listing so I’m assuming this isn’t an old web page from a previous release, but I don’t know.

2026 Father’s Day PRO1000T that came today as a Father’s Day present and Dad Glove!

My journey for a Dad glove started last year when my oldest son started showing an I retest in catch. That led me to this sub and I realized I didn’t know what I didn’t know about baseball gloves. Since then I’ve relaced and/or lightly restored around 15 glove which has given me an opportunity to figure out what I like and what I didn’t like. I had started looking at old PRO1000’s to work on when Rawlings made this drop and I knew when I looked at it “that’s my dad glove!” The timing worked out great and I’m super excited to get it broken in and start playing catch with my kids!
