Happy Straturday!

This week I'm featuring another Guitar of the Past. 2001 Am Std Hardtail in Chrome Red. Bought in December of 2019, sold it off a year or so later with a few others when I was in a sell-off mood. I really wish I'd kept this one, that color is awesome!

Nightstand Gun

Took out the M&P 2.0 Compact last night and put in the TP9 Elite SC. I like to switch 'em around.

Happy Straturday!

Yay, it's Straturday! This week I present my 2001 Double Fat Hardtail in Candy Apple Red. 7.5 lbs., excellent condition as always.

My God these pickups sing. I have to admit, I refer to this as my Strat Paul.

Happy Straturday!

Guitar of the Past this week. 2001 Am Std Hardtail in Hot Rod Red. 7.4 lbs, excellent condition. This one had the Obsidian Wire "Gilmour" switch in it when I bought it which I never bothered with. Guess I'm not a big tone seeker.

Bought it in March of 2024, sold off in February of 2026. Another one in the "just never bonded with" category.

Happy Straturday!

Here we are, this week the guitar I've owned longer than any other in my life. This is my 99 Am Std. Hardtail in Inca Silver.

Bought in January of 2003 from the original owner. 7.2 pounds, excellent condition. Put Fender locking tuners on and Fender Hot Noiseless pickups in like 15 or so years ago.

This guitar has remained above and past all others. Every other Strat I own (8) have all been acquired in the last 5-6 years. It has been sold, bought back by my Dad, given back to me and pawned at least 6-8 times back in some lean years. Yeah, I have to keep it.

Happy Straturday!

This week, another Guitar of the Past. This is a '98 Am. Std. Hardtail in Aqua Marine Metallic. Bought it in September of 2012 and put SD YJM pickups in it and it still just didn't do it for me, 😂.

The color was cool but for some reason I just don't like Blue on a Strat, or pretty much any other guitar. Well, except for Daphne Blue.

I also was not fond of the YJM pickups either at the time. Oh well, I think I sold it off not more than a year later. Sometimes they speak to you, sometimes they don't.

Fender Cease & Desist, Lawsuit, etc.

OK, enough of these frickin' posts. I am so tired of this topic on this and other Fender boards I visit. I have been and will delete these. Most of the time these are just posted/cross posted by people trying to stir up arguments and trouble.

I seriously doubt the whole Fender thing is gonna affect anyone here. Let's just get back to enjoying our Fender Stratocasters and move on.

Ruger LCP Max at the range

Finally got to shoot my LCP Max that I bought a month or so ago today. I ran Winchester Silvertips and Blazer FMJ through it. Wanted to try what I was carrying in it to make sure it'd work if I ever NEED it.

Happy to report it ran through both, probably shot 8-10 mags without a single failure. Yeah, I'm happy.

This week I'm featuring my '77 Natural Hardtail. 9.0 lbs., totally original except for the volume pot. Bought in June of 2022, currently resting in under bed storage. Might have to rotate it back out!

HNGD - Daphne Blue Mod Shop!

Yay! It's here. 2021 Mod Shop Hardtail. God I love this color, have always wanted one. V-Mod pickups with what the seller claimed is a Fireball Humbucker in the bridge. We'll check all that out tomorrow when we do a full inspection. In the mean time, Hells Yeah!

Happy Straturday!

This week is another Guitar of the Past. Got this beautiful '99 Teal Green Metallic Big Apple Hardtail in October of 2021. 7.2 lbs, not a scratch on it. I just never could bond with it, always felt really "tight", didn't feel good to play, weird. Sold it off in December 2022. It sure was pretty though.

It was 100% original and in good shape, couple of nicks here and there. 8.2 pounds on the scale. Great guitar, had it for 2 years or so. Sold it off in June of '24.
